It is ugly with the burners up so high and the glass top is impossible to keep clean!

Selected this to replace 21 year old existing GE stove-top. The only thing is I choose stainless steel. The cooktop is black with a 1 inch strip of stainless steel around the edges. It is easy to clean but difficult to look clean with the shiny black ceramic top. It should not be listed as stainless.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I purchased this cooktop to replace an old one. The item I purchased has the same dimensions as the old cooktop with the exception of the downdraft. For some reason GE decided to change the location and dimensions on the new cooktop downdraft. The installers couldn't complete the install because the vent pipe wouldn't fit. Now I have to redisgn the vent pipe, and drill a new 6" hole to relocate the vent pipe base before I can install the vent pipe. This is going to leave a 6 " hole in my counter and subfloor. NOT a happy camper.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This cook top surpasses my last one in every way. Sleep appearance. More importantly, even flames and more control of flames than my last one.

Works great replacing an older 19 GE cooktop. Only problem was the downdraft vent was not able to be installed. As it did NOT come with a coverter for a rectangle vent to circular hole. Need to buy this on my own.
