It does not fit any juice bottles on the shelves, or store bought pitchers (for making drinks at home). The freezer doesn't stay tightly closed and items defrost and go bad.

TERRIBLE DESIGN

I HAVE BEEN A GE CUSTOMER FOR 45 YEARS...THIS IS THE 6th GE FRIDGE I HAVE PURCHASED OVER THOSE YEARS...BUT THIS LAST MODEL IS THE WORSE DESIGN I HAVE EVER HAD...
FIRST THE FRIDGE DOOR SQUEAKS AND BOTH DIDN'T CLOSE BY THEMSELVES...EVEN AFTER THE UNIT WAS ADJUSTED TO TILT BACK THEY STAYED OPEN...
THE TOP SHELF IN THE FRIDGE IS A JOKE---WHAT IS THE BIG THING HANGING DOWN IN THE CENTER? YOU CAN'T PUT ANY TALL CONTAINERS (NO MILK OR WATER BOTTLES) UP THERE WITHOUT HAVING TO REMOVE THEM TO GET THE THINGS THAT ARE BEHIND THEM OUT...
THE FREEZER SHELF DOES NOT GO TO THE BACK OF THE FREEZER AND THINGS FALL THROUGH THAT BACK SPACE....
THE STAINLESS STEEL FINISH IS A HORROR TO KEEP CLEAN, I HAVE TRIED 2 DIFFERENT SS CLEANERS (VERY STREAKY AND SHOWS EVERY FINGERPRINT)...
AND THE BEST IS THE SS DOORS SHOW MULTIPLE DENTS (NOT FROM US, IT CAME IN THAT WAY)...
WELL WITH ALL THAT SAID, GE DID COME AND OFFERED TO REPLACE THE DOORS FOR US, BUT I THOUGHT THAT WAS CRAZY TO DO ON A NEW FRIDGE, SO I WAS ABLE TO GET THE STORE TO TAKE BACK THIS MODEL AND I BOUGHT A BIGGER MORE USER FRIENDLY MODEL...STILL A GE..BUT I WAS CHARGED A $200.00 RESTOCKING FEE, (THAT I WAS NOT HAPPY ABOUT) BUT IT WAS WORTH IT TO GET RID OF THIS HORRIBLE MODEL...
ON A GOOD NOTE, THE FRIDGE & FREEZER DO WORK WELL KEEPING MY FOOD COLD AND FROZEN....AND IT IS QUIET...
AND I AM STILL A GE CUSTOMER...
P.S. WHEN DID THEY STOP GIVING EGG TRAYS, BUTTER TRAYS & ICE CUBE TRAYS...????

It is almost impossible to find anything that is not on the top shelf or the first row. I have to take out everything in front to get at the back things. The shelves don't slide out.

This unit replaced our old unit because we were told we needed to have an energy star compliant unit.
At first the unit ran quiet and seemed to do a good job. Now the fans make a weird noise sometimes and buzz.
The unit seems to do its job. Only time will tell. Our old unit was running 15+ years. I am not expecting much from this one.

GE Refrigerator

This is a replacement for a frig we had for 17 years. I am a little disappointed. The vegetable bins in the frig are huge and take up way to much space, making less room for other item. The frig door pops open (and vice-versa!) when the freezer door is shut. This is not a frost free unit. I have to defrost the freezer door at least once a week and the inside of the freeze every 6-8 weeks. Plus the manual is online! I like having a paper copy to look at. Plus swapping the doors was a nightmare.

Great looking fridge

Nice looking refrigerator...but the first freezer door came with waves in the stainless steel, so they replaced the door. The new door doesn't open and close smoothly like the refrigerator door does. I'm guessing it needs adjusted. The motor is a bit louder as opposed to our last GE refrigerator too. Overall it's designed nice and looks great.
