Terrible refrigerator

The two adjustable shelves only have three positions, if the top shelf is adjusted to hold taller items, the middle shelf is only 3" high. There's no light in the freezer. The doors do not close unless you physically hold onto the handle. The hinges were replaced under warranty, and worked better for a few days, but then went back to not closing properly. And now the refrigerator door squeaks when opening and closing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We love our new "old school" refrigerator. The only reason I didn't give this product 5 stars is because it would have been nice to have a light in the freezer.

Bought stainless steel top freezer model GTE21GSHHSS to replace an old top freezer/refrigerator, wanted an updated look and went with GE reliability and something to match our GE stove. Looks great but when the freezer fan turns on it sounds like a helicopter coming in from a distance, very loud. Also, icemaker is poorly designed. The plug is on the side wall and interferes with the ice tray, it does not sit against the side wall so some ice does not fall into the tray and ends up at the bottom of the freezer. Needless to say, we are disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
