No adjustable shelves! & no light in the freezer!

The size is great and comparable to it's predecessor, but the shelves are solid, standard, and one piece- not like the circa 2001 version. Also, unlike its predecessor, there is neither a light nor a shelf in the freezer compartment. I want my old GE fridge back! & there is no space to store an upright open bottle of wine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

large freezer, big bottom drawers.glass shelves with edges that stops spills from going anywhere.

Saw a sample of the refrigerator in the showroom but, since it was not plugged in, did not realize that the freezer didn't have a light & even more disappointing, that there was only one knob that controlled temps in both freezer & refrigerator. Always used GE products with featured controls & never occurred to me that this model lacked them. Disappointed & would have chosen another model if I had realized this.

Roomy!!

This is an excellent fridge. It's really roomy and I could t ask for more...except a better designed temp control knob. It keeps getting hit bc of it's location and I often open it to find my ice tea frozen or my ice cream melted. Otherwise it's a great product, just a poor design on that temp

We recently purchased this model due to size limitations in our kitchen. It is pretty quiet until you open the door and then compressor begins to run and there is a high pitch hiss that you can hear for about ten minutes. The stainless steel smudges easily (maybe GE can work on creating a more smudge proof material). Lastly, the handles don't sit flush up against the metal doors leaving a small space where the door handles meet the door (holes were not drilled properly). Overall, for the kitchen space available, it works.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
