I am disappointed in the quality of this product. It is very noisy. The freezer cannot be utilized fully because if the back vent gets blocked by frozen food/bags, it prevents the air from circulating properly. As a result the freezer produces ice crystals on packages and prevents the door from properly sealing and closing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

freezer issues

The first refrigerator was delivered the end of July. We immediately noticed frost on the top of the freezer box. After several attempts at repair, we were delivered a second unit. That immediately also had the same problem. We are now waiting for our third replacement refrigerator, and our confidence in this particular model is not good. We will see.

I needed a refrigerator to match the color of my other appliances. These appliances are GE. My previous refrigerator was 10 years old and I needed a replacement. This is a good refrigerator for the price and suits my needs. It has large fruit and vegetable drawers and large door shelves.

We purchased the GE Frig about 6 weeks ago. It is quite and very spacious. This is a basic model and an excellent value.

no Freezer light or instruction booklet

No light in the freezer which we are very unhappy with. The refrigerator runs fine but the top shelf is poorly designed so that very hard to put large items on it or get things from the back of the top shelf. Very disappointed in GE as we felt we were buying a quality item.
