Highly disappointed

I bought this refrigerator in the summer of 2015 and complained about the noise when I first got it. I was told to wait for two months, it would be quieter. I've had it over two months now, and I don't notice much difference. I will say I should have traveled farther to see an actual model before I bought it. The dealer I purchased my appliances from didn't have one on his showroom floor. This thing has ONE forty watt incandescent bulb to light the whole refrigerator. If the refrigerator is full, you can have difficulty seeing what's on the bottom shelves. Speaking of shelves, the top shelf will not hold a tall wine bottle. Those have to go in the door, along with anything else that is over 11" high, and the space for those items is limited too. The top shelf can either be placed 11" from the top or 17" from the top. Space on your other shelves would be quite limited if you place it 17" from the top. The handle on the door of this refrigerator extends out 11" farther than the standard 24" cabinet and counter top it sits next to, so if your kitchen is small, I'd recommend paying close attention to this. As for the freezer section, small items fall off of the back of the rack. How about designing a shelf that has a wire rack on the back of it to keep stuff from falling off and keep it away from the vents? I do keep a lot of food products in the freezer section, but this is the first refrigerator I've owned that has a wire rack that sags in the middle with a 17 pound frozen turkey and other frozen products sitting on it. All in all, I had a certain amount of space for a refrigerator, and this is the only GE refrigerator that would fit it. I purchased a GE range and microwave at the same time, and they seem to be OK, but I wish I had never purchased this refrigerator.

I bought this refridgerator 2 months ago and it stoped working 2 weeks ago. I lost all the food in mit.

If this unit is well built or not it is too early to tell ... I've had it less than a year. For my first impressions: the shelves are misplaced. If you insert them all in there isn't room for a bottle of wine or a tall milk bottle. I had to remove one of the shelves leaving a base with two drawers and a single shelf. Send ... do some comparison shopping for alternatives with similar features.
