Great phone except the screen...

I love this phone. Great features and amazing speed. Fast and snappy. Perfect phone overall. The only reason for 2 stars is the screen. I'm on my second phone due to screen cracking. Either the gorilla glass is not real gorilla glass or this particular screen is to thin. Two phones now have cracked screens with no just cause. I baby my phones and I am always conscious where they are. No reason for screens to crack....not to happy about that. But otherwise an awesome phone.

Worst phone I've ever owned

I've had this phone approximately 7months. There are 7 pictures on it, 0 apps that I've downloaded (because Windows apps suck) 0 videos and it's says I've used all 8 gb available. I use Facebook through whatever operating system Microsoft uses, I've deactivated all the apps they put on the phones that they think you absolutely cannot live without except the ones that effect the operation of the phone. For about a week now, I no longer can text because. "there's nor enough space available". And effective today, I can no longer make calls. I've removed the batter and that didn't work. I keep all the running pages deleted, I keep the cookies and caches cleaned out of it yet I'm constantly losing use of something. I'm a single mom and this phone is the only contact I have with the outside world and unfortunately, I couldn't contact 911 through Facebook Messaging which is the only way I can communicate on it now. I'm disabled and I'm a single mom and unfortunately, I can't just go buy another phone. But you can bet that when I get the money saved up for one, it WILL NOT be a Windows or Microsoft phone. Their horrible phones and horrible operating system.

Loved at first

After months (maybe years) of begging my parents for a cellphone, I finally received one. I personally did all the research, spending hours hunting for a perfect, cheap phone. I was intrigued by excellent reviews for the Lumia 640. The screen size (larger than the iPhone 6!), excellent camera, battery life, price (You could buy six of these for the cost of an iPhone!) and other factors contributed to my interest. Several wireless store visits later, I got the phone. I loved the theme colors to choose from, and the live tiles that showed me information without having to enter the app. I drop it at least five times a week (I have a rubber case on) and have never suffered significant damage. I've even left it in a dripping sink for half an hour on accident. The screen is beautifully large. The camera is great. Another one of my favorite things: it makes me stand out. Everyone (literally) has iPhones. Others may think I'm cheap (hey, I'm going to spend my money on college, not a cellphone), but when they see their small, expensive iPhone dwarfed by my 5" touchscreen, they know I'm different. But sometimes being different is rough. Like, when you're friends ask if you have an Instagram, Snapchat, or Musically and you have to say, "No, my phone's app store doesn't have that." It's humiliating to be different, and socially unconnected from everyone else. Lately, I've used PinIt, which isn't really Pinterest, but a really good third party app. But some apps don't have good, working third party apps, such as: Instagram (still in beta, no videos or direct message. Pathetic), Youtube (plenty of rip offs that don't work), and anything google (which is terrible, because I can't work on homework on my phone), just to name a few. There's plenty others without Windows Phone equivalents, so go and look it up in the Windows Store if you're wondering if they have clash royale or whatever (they don't have that either, by the way). So now, to my current predicament (besides the app-lacking-app-store app, I'm kind of just ignoring the Snapchat thing for now, trying not to go insane): Fitbit. Totally unrelated to Windows, you think. Not really, actually. Currently, I'm looking into buying the new Fitbit Alta (slim, cheap, and fashionable). Good thing I looked, because the device isn't supported on Windows 8.1. Why? I have no clue. So now, I am forced to delete half my apps and transfer the rest to my SD card to get Windows 10. The update says it should take 5-10 minutes to install, but I highly doubt that it will take less than 60. I am glad that the update is available for my phone, as many have complained that it isn't available for older models. I will update soon (not really) once the update is complete. Hopefully it will take less than five hours.
