Substantially exceeded my expectations!

Upgraded from an older Lumia 810 and the transition was seamless. I liked and welcomed the slightly larger screen and somewhat snappier performance. Data transfer couldn't have been easier and the Bluetooth 4.0 version has a complete set of profiles to include the much needed Message Access Profile (MAP) which facilitates message display capability in your auto. The numerous LTE 4G bands are very useful (Works on USA's T-Mobile), has Windows 8.1 Denim (update 2) and the icing on the cake is the incredible low price which makes it, without question, the biggest bang for the buck in the market place. GET THIS PHONE! You'll not be disappointed...

This is the phone i was looking for. I know what android users think as i once was... i was also a IOS user... What made me buy this was its interactive look! it looks so interactive like you just wanna use it! unlike IOS or android which look so boring!. I mean it has a powerful camera, its so personal!, awesome performance and most of all... the features that are equivalent of a costly phone are available in the most cheapest phone. My friend a IOS user was bored of its looks but when i showed him my Lumia he wanted to use it on the spot! he was so amazed by its price and its features he bought it the very next day!(i am not lying.. believe me). Windows Phone is a growing OS. One day every teenager and business man will use it. Great job Microsoft! I love it! #ProudToOwnMicrosoftLumia

Perfect size Windows phone for me

I've had Windows phones for a few years and love the simple, easy to use, and navigate OS. This phone looks and feels great, and finally, I have a perfect screen size in an affordable phone.

First time use of Windows Phone

I have had this phone for 2 weeks and am quite impressed. It has a good display and I really like the "live tiles". The phone call quality is very good. Coming from Android, this phone doesnt have as many apps but calling, texting, taking pictures and calendering are excellent. Couple of hints. Look for Surfy in Windows store, best browser, make sure you put in a microsd card and have everything go on it instead of the phone, and most importantly..if you press and hold the back button, it will show you what is open like in android.

Quality phone and Windows phone is surprisingly good!

As a long time power user of Android, someone who always rooted and installed custom software on my phone I never thought I would like Windows as much as I do.
The build quality and specs of the phone are better than any similar priced android phone. The 5 inch screen is great. The UI once learned is really customizable and refreshing. The built in apps work better than android counterparts. I.e. Messaging etc.
I was able to install the windows 10 preview on the phone and I am really looking forward to the stable release. The Lumia 940 will be out at the end of the year and because I have enjoyed this phone so much in 6-9 months a premium Lumia with Windows 10 may just replace any Android devices I may have previously been thinking of.
Windows and Lumia is not perfect but it is a really good change for most of us who have never dived into the Windows phone world. The MS Lumia 640 is a great phone all around and a perfect introduction into Windows phone!

The cheapest smartphone with tons of features

I used to have android tablets, my wife is using Samsung android phone and i'm using windows phone 640. I compare the 2, i am most attracted to windows phone. I like the Live tiles, colorful, different sizes and the home screen which much faster to do the task. MS Office & one drive are a good edge, aside from Here Maps (offline free) & Cortana. You cannot get that price for such a smartphone (whooping 5" screen & a quad core).The IOS must be good too but its too expensive & its just over hype. You don't need to buy a cellphone 6 times as much expensive just to do your useful task. Windows phone 8.1 is everything you need - personal or business.

Nearly Perfect

I'm currently a college student and this phone is REALLY good for the price itself. I use MS Office on this phone almost every time; Word for writing essays, PPT for basically doing presentations-- well you all get my point. I must say the back camera is pretty good, the front camera (for me) is decent because I mainly use it for Skype calls and not really for selfies. Battery can last 1 1/2 days with moderate use. A lot of people are complaining about lack apps which I understand, but I don't really mind at all. But hey, theres a lot of Third Party apps though that works better than its offical app (e.g. Instagram, Youtube)

Absolutely happy I waited for this to come out before upgrading. Plenty fast and customizable, with an ever improving app store. Totally would recommend. Love the Skype and internet options.
