Pros:
Easy to use.
Excellent audio quality, crystal clear phone calls.
Long battery with moderate use.
fluid interface even is not the latest hardware.
you can add up to 128Gb memory card.
perform better than the same price android phones.
the camera app is awesome.
Cons:
No so many app, is the biggest draw back, banks apps,
some apps are less powerful than other OS same apps.
incompatible with other devices and gadgets, etc...
the cameras resolution are not the best.
insufficient internal storage, half of the 8Gb is for the SO.
Bottom line:
sadly is a good phone in his way to the extinction, like the BlackBerry.
Pros: Personal
I would recommend this to a friend!

The phone is fine, but the operating system is way behind androids. Nothing is up to androids standards. I understand now why windows phones are lagging so far behind in sales. I hate to say that because I've been an MS fan boy forever.
Pros: Personal, Business
I would recommend this to a friend!

There are so many bugs in this phone

I recommend Lumia 635 when compared to this. For example:
A. When you switch on to 'Flight Mode' and come back to normal mode, without restart it wont work.
B. Couple of times, I observed the text gets overlapped.
C. Software is very slow when compare to Lumia 635
Pros: Personal

Does what it says on the label. Does a lot of it annoyingly or very badly.
Switching from iPhone, it's very clear Apple enjoy a years-long head start.
Difficult to answer phonecalls (swipe up, THEN two-sometimes-three taps, whoops missed it).
No volume control on headphones (who let THAT oversight get by the design committee?).
No hardware mute button (so muting it in cinemas or meetings is: button press, swipe, swipe, swipe).
Cortana doesn't work in Australia, and you need her enabled to use "quiet hours" feature (it can be done, but it's a long finicky and involved process).
Many other features simply don't work as advertised, expect to spend hours in the "Settings" app.
Microsoft Edge is extremely edgy and crashes a lot, even when viewing simple webpages.
The Store is absolutely INFESTED with Malware and Adware, much of which will steal your phone's number and send it directly to spammers who will incessantly SMS-Spam you into oblivion.
Those apps which everyone wants to use are either nonexistent yet (i.e. SoundCloud, ABC iView, Google maps, Gmail etc.) and ones which do exist are buggy to the point of enraging (Google & YouTube apps for instance are so very buggy it's near-impossible to search more than once, or watch a video all the way through without having to restart either app).
Swipe-typing takes some getting used to over tap-typing in iOS, but its actually the easiest thing to adapt to.
Battery life is excellent and battery-saver is great. The price also is great, for the hardware under cover. User-replaceable battery is a good idea, thanks Nokia.
I wanted to enjoy this phone, but the fact is after four weeks of trying very hard to like it, I've gone back to my 4-year-old iPhone because, plain and simply, it's better.
This platform has a long, long way to go just to catch up to its main competitor, and I very much doubt the super-secret "special news" being released tomorrow (Oct. 6th 2015) will magically send us all to happy land where we can live in gumdrop houses on lollipop lane. Microsoft advertising strikes again!
If you need a cheaper phone, then a Lumia 640 might be for you, being ~1/4 the price of a premium competitor product like the iPhone 6. But don't buy expecting you'll be able to do anything you can do with iOS, because this is decidedly not the case.
I'm shelving this until Windows Phone is far more developed, and until Microsoft start to better police their Store to weed out ridiculous and sometimes unscrupulous Clog-ware. 2/5 is the absolute best I can bring myself to award the Lumia 640 at this time.
Pros: Business, Personal
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
