Great for my business!

I use my 640 for business every day. I am in satellite sales. My leads are emailed to me in Excel which I open in Office on my phone. I also use Office Lens to snap a copy of my sales form and message it over to my office. I love the battery life. This phone is full of features I use each day to make my sales process efficient. Thanks!

I was in the market for an upgraded Windows phone and I came across this one in the store. I tried it for myself, then I decided to upgrade my two sons from their Nokia Lumia's to this Microsoft Lumia. They have loved it from day one! I'm in IT, so I have multiple Phones and Tablets for personal use and for support purposes. Great Phone, Great Job on this one.

Every bit as good as iPhones if you enjoy Windows OS

This phone has been amazing to me great battery life great camera and just is overall a good performer the device doesn't have the quality of apps as android or iOS but it has what you need this is a phone that performs like an iPhone at cheaper than the price of an iPhone on contract that is unlocked Microsoft hit this one out of the park you will not regret this purchase

Great Phone Limited apps

I love this phone, but I can't get snapchat on it. Another thing that it can improve on is its highlighting and copy/paste feature. other than that its got a GREAT CAMERA and front camera, LONG BATTERY LIFE and youtube is better than on an android phone.

This microsoft lumia 640 is great phone . i was using iphone 6 and i moved to my my back up phone lumia for 1 week , it is easy to use . Great pictures . fast and lot of camera features
Cons - Lack of apps . windows dont have that much apps like in iOs and android , i Hope when they introduce windows 10 to mobile that issue will solve ..

Good Phone Missing Vital Features

Great phone, battery life, screen, camera, windows easy to use. Live Tiles screen is good and very useful. Can organise things efficiently.
Let downs -
1) Missed important work calls as phone did not ring, ringer volume not touched, reboot for phone to ring, how Microsoft...Ringing is mission critical for a phone..
2) Cannot set to ring externally when headphones/hands free plugged in. Show stopper unfortunately. Cannot afford to miss work calls because have taken headphones out of ears, and do not want to unplug handsfree after a call only to plug in again for while trying to speak on next call...Poor use case testing and design.
3) music player apps not great. Perfect Music is ok but still amateurish.
4) No USB internet tethering, wireless uses more laptop and phone power.
5) Does not have common settings in one spot, like android, but tile screen lets you pin those settings into a single settings group
6) Call history does not show further details like call time and duration, no help with timesheets

7) clicking on the pictures live tile does not take you to the picture on the tile.
8) Calendar drop down defaults for appointments not enough, eg snooze 5 mins, 10 mins
or 1 hour. 30 mins would be nice.
9) Setting time of appointment too slow, ie long list of mins 1 to 60 rather than tens and units.
