Love it... mostly

I love the comfort and sound quality. The best part is NO WIRES which makes it great for traveling and working out. I wish it had Bluetooth so it could be used as headset for my phone. Also, I was never able to use it for swimming. I tried all of the ear buds but none kept the water out. Even before letting the water in my ear. the volume with the water ear tips was too low to enjoy the music. I was very excited to finally be able to listen to tunes when swimming so this was a big disappointment. I hope they can improve on this in the future.
I would recommend this to a friend!

W series 273s! Has worked for over 4 years

Mine has worked great! A little picky on charging lately but just cleaned and fixed the prongs on charger and it’s still going. I use it to workout 3-5 times a week 2 hour increments. It gets used!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Stopped working after a few months

I bought this less than 6 months ago for swimming. It worked great at first but then the sound stopped working even if the power light was still on and blinking.

Frustrating to use

The buttons are so tiny, and need pushing in hard with nails. Despite hours spent trying to follow the manual, I cannot get the sound to a suitable level. The volume button seems to have no effect. Controls are not well designed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good walkman but has now many technical problems!

Hello I bought it and used it nicely for 2 years and it was working fine
Now the problem is that for no special reason the volume goes down automatically and the only way to hear music is to KEEP the finger on the UP VOLUME button !
I hope to find a solution or that Sony provides a solution

Somewhat let down

Although the sound quality and hardware seems fine it's most annoying feature is every time you plug it into the computer to recharge the battery the current song playing goes back to the first song. It takes ages to tab left to get back to the song you were listening to - is there a software update available to fix this, what can only be described as a, bug

Sound quality is very good. Knobs well designed. Meant to be set, then left alone. The memory is more than adequate.
About 4 years old. Its now switching from "all songs" to the random mode - uncommanded. Very annoying - tried rebooting to no avail.

Sony Walkman NW-WS413

My Sony Vaio, Sony digital camera, Sony home theater and Sony VHS all worked really well for years, some are still working. But I bought a Sony walkman NW-WS413 and it stopped working about 9 months after my purchase. I used the warranty and I got new one, great for Sony. But the second one also stopped working and now my warranty has expired (I got the new one in 2016) and I'm left with no product no money back.
Both walkman's never worked well while I was swimming, that's why I bought them for, so I hope this helps anyone interested in buying one to use while swimming. In my view it doesn't work.
