I was very excited to try this video, but ended up wishing I could return it. I was surprised that they did not understand that they did not understand the basics of how to cue for video. He was saying going right, but since you are facing the TV he is moving in the opposite direction. It made it very difficult to follow as you on his visual cues, but he is moving in the other direction. I had a hard time an I have taught group classes. I bought the Qigong one too and now I'm afraid this will have the same problem.
The Content could have been covered as an introduction to a Tai Chi video, but doesn't marit its own disk
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this highly rated DVD for my husband as a gift. He always wanted to try T'ai Chi and, as he is physically fit, I believed that this one for beginners will be a good one. It came as a real disappointment, that although the explanation seems to be detailed and clear, it is very difficult to follow the instructor in your own moves. Probably if you had T'ai Chi in the class and already have a feel for it, it would be much easier, but for a true beginner it is almost impossible to master these moves and flow of moves with just help of this DVD.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have been taking a beginning Tai Chi class for several months and thought this DVD would help me practice but I found it did not include the basics and wound up being more confusing to me than helpful.
