Great refrigerator long term

I purchased this model refrigerator over 12 years ago and it has been problem-free. The temperature distribution is even in the main shelves and crispers. I am now looking for one for a new home and this is my first choice.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very nice upgrade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our 22 year old Kitchenaid refrigerator finally passed so we went to Howard’s appliance for a new one. The same model refrigerator but definitely a upgrade runs and works better. Only problem was Howard’s time table was two weeks but KitchenAid was back ordered on our model so we had to wait over a month till they built us one. Howard’s was kind enough to say they will credit us $100.00 for a free dinner but we are now waiting for that otherwise the refrigerator works great going on one week..
I would recommend this to a friend!

Poor craftmanship

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The refrigerator works well but the quality of craftmanship is very poor. Sharp edges on freezer door and corner seams that don't match up. We are awaiting our second round of doors to hopefully get ones that are better made. For the price tag, the poor quality was extremely disappointing and surprising. We were told, "this is just how KitchenAid builds them now". Wish we were told that before our purchase.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good looking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The only issue I have with this refrigerator is that nearly 1/3 of the freezer space is taken up by the ice maker thus minimizing the storage area. It is a nice looking refrigerator without having to pay the price for a Sub Zero.

I want the older version back

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had this refrigerator for over 15 years and loved it. But it finally died and I needed a new one. I ordered the same one. This one looks a bit cheaply made. And the ice machine need a major redesign. The ice keeps coming to the point that when you open bin ice falls back to bottom of freezer. There isn’t an off switch that is conveniently located. I had service come out thinking something was wrong. Service guy came out and said it was a design error. I have to take bin out, reach back and flip up lever. It is located way back and your hand can’t reach it when bin is in freezer. Very strange. Very disappointing. I wish I could have kept the old version.

Can't go wrong with KitchenAid!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator is so nice it fit into our space like a glove. Ice maker makes ice so fast I don't think I'll ever need the feature that makes ice quicker. I didn't think I was going to like the platinum interior but I really do like it!! Softer than stark white! Doors and drawers all fit and open/close smoothly. Plenty of room... So far so good! I'm so glad I didn't go with a SZ ...KitchenAid all the way!!
