New to Kitchen Aid

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I've bought Bosch, I bought Viking. This is a whole nother league of quality. I am so impressed at the level of engineering that has gone into this poduct. The fact that the ice tray is enclosed so there is no noise when the ice is dispensed. No noise when the ice maker calls for water. Matter of fact this fridge makes no noise at all...ever. The incrediblly precise leveling adjustments. I know its expensive but it is fact its a bargain in the built-in segement.

Avoid this product - Service is a new level of low

Purchased the fridge directly from Whirlpool, and it wasn't working out of the box. The initial service took two visits to get it working.
In less than seven months (7) fridge began to fail again, unable to stay cold or continue to make ice. Called for service and the arrived within a few days. Parts needed to be replace. It took 10 days for the parts to arrive, and then an additional 10 days to book the appointment for the service to replace the parts. So now I'm at over three weeks without a fridge.
When the service tech arrived, they started the process of part replacement and noticed and internal leak. The fridge was determined to be unfixable, and needed to be replaced. Service ticket opened with another department to get the fridge replaced.
Over two weeks and multiple calls to get a status they replied. My fridge has been discontinued. To get a similar model, it's approximately another 4 to 6 weeks.
I'm still on this journey and at the rate it's progressing it will be over 3 months before I have an operating fridge. No amount of extended or manufacture warranty will help.
There's no urgency for the service departments to help the customer.
Thanks for the inconvenience, and the complete inability to service your product in a timely manner.

Good but long backlog and poor drawer design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the refrigerator in July and it took almost a month to get delivered due to backorder. Overall, I'm happy with the refrigerator. My only real complaint is the drawers don't fit well. It's almost like the installed the wrong drawers... there is a lot of slop and they feel like they don't fit in the slides. If you aren't careful when pulling them out, they will fall out of the refrigerator.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After several months of wait, we finally got the refrigerator. Initially, the ice maker didn’t work. Technician had to come few days later in order to check. They were in plans to replace ice maker, but, somehow, it started making ice.
Works well. Overall, it was worth the wait. Easy to clean.

So we are on our replacement and now have the same issues as before...lights are failing and the icemaker arm has broken several times. Cannot believe this...after spending 9000 on a refrigerator that has issues like this is just not acceptable...looking forward to speaking directly with customer service.

Failed 3 days after installation - no resolution

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought the unit in December 2022. It was delivered and installed Feb 8. Three days later the unit failed. Refrigerator and freezer compartments lost their ability to cool/freeze. Factory service came out on Feb 13 and determined that there were multiple part failures the worst of which is the main control unit. We are now on day 21 and KitchenAid is unable to provide the necessary parts for repair. We have a beautiful, completely non-functioning refrigerator with no communication from KitchenAid as to when we might be able to actually use it. We have also lost three months of our warranty. We have purchased several KitchenAid products (including other built-in refrigerators) over the past 30 years. What has happened with quality and customer service?

Great look in our kitchen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We replaced our 20 year old Kitchenaid built-in with cabinet panels on the doors. We were skeptical about the new look but the stainless steel fits in well and looks great. Some minor issues: no butter compartment in the door, only bins so it's hard to get the butter dish in and out; previous model showed current temperature in refrigerator and freezer when you opened the door, this model only shows temperature SETTINGS when you press a button.
