I bought this fan thinning I was getting a good fan, wishing 3 days it stopped working. Thought that the fuse went out so replaced it and it still won’t turn on!

None of the buttons work need to use the remote to control want a refund or a better fan that actually works with functioning button cause the remote is easy to lose and then nothing works without it

The worst fan ever.

Vornado fans are usually really great. This one however is the biggest piece of crap they’ve ever manufactured. First of all it’s super loud and you can hardly feel the air. I have to place it practically on top of my bed to feel anything. I don’t know why they are selling this one. It’s booty!

Great Airflow / Very Loud

I have been a Vorando owner for years now. I have always acquired the whole room circulators similar to the current 773 model. I have never had problems with them, they are very effective and most importantly, on lower speeds are very quiet. They are also very well made and stand up to many years of use. I then bought the new full-size tower circulator, model 184, recently for a new small conference room we have here at work. It also is very effective in airflow, but is loud. Even on low speed it rattles like cheap plastic, which basically is what it is made of. It does not feel heavy duty like the other models I mentioned. I cannot use this in the small conference room, especially when customers are in there with our engineering staff. I would NOT recommend the full-size tower to anyone who wants to have a quiet operating unit. Get the current model 773 instead. Our Model 184 is now relegated to the waiting room, but still only on low speeds. First time I have ever been disappointed in a Vornado product.

Fan makes a difference

Our dining room has a large west window that allows the afternoon sun to really heat up the dining room/kitchen, even after installing reflective film and heavy drapes. We both work and program the thermostat to go to 80F during the day. The AC will not bring the house temp down until after sundown, but the Vornado makes this area much more comfortable. It has allowed us to enjoy our kitchen while still saving AC dollars.

I also own model 610, it is very good with airflow but this new tower is amazingly powerful when needed and quiet when needed.Very innovative design for airflow.Great new product Vornado!

This was one of my best buys. I live in an upstairs apartment in the desert. My apartment faces directly east, so I am in direct light from 6am to about 4pm. As quaint as it might sound, under 110 degree summer days--it tends to be unbearable (especially since my apartment is upstairs, and heat rises). I bought two oscillating fans, and a ceiling fan (so my energy bill from using my a/c wouldn't be over $200 again). Turns out they really didnt help. I bought heavy drapes, and still didnt work. My only other option was to board up the windows with 2in foam insulation. I was dreading doing the insulation because I didnt want my apartment to look sketchy; but I was willing to take the risk. I was at a home improvement store walking around, and seen a customer with the Vornado tower fan in their cart. I asked her about it, and she said that it was the second one she bought. Not because it didnt deliver the job, but because she loved it so much, but so she can have one downstairs as well. So I ended up buying this instead of the insulation. I was so glad that I did! The assembly was simple, the design is so sleek, and the power of it completely replaced all three fans I previously bought. I have it in the corner of my living room, and if I leave my bedroom door open, I can feel the air flow coming in or vice versa. This one fan replaced the $400+ fans I had invested in. Buy this fan. Great bang for your buck.

Replaced after two and a half months

Originally purchased in April 2011 and returned to store for replacement due to a dull, persistent squealing noise acquired after two and a half months of daily operation. However, I love this unit and cannot do without it. Hopefully the problem I encountered was a fluke.
