Very effective fans make a great purchase

I purchased two of these fans to help save money on my electric bill as i moved into a new apartment in the middle of a hot Florida summer. I was a bit worried becuase it didn't oscillate like my previous fans, but I am so glad i bought these. They produce more than enough air circulation and keep my dog and I very cool.I haven't needed to turn the air on at all since I moved in - my dog even likes sitting near them when on low so she doesnt blow away! I admit they are more noisy than other fan, but that comes from efficient moving of that amount of air. So if you want pin-drop quiet these are not the product for you, but if you want a well-made and effective product, you will find your money well spent.

Great AirFlow for what I was looking for, but...

I LOVE the V design because no matter where I am sitting in the room, I can feel it, as far as width goes, again with repositioning. The airflow is powerful, but not really quiet. The white noise is nice at times. It works great, except the Air Flow does not start at the first panel as I would have hoped, nor flows all the way to the bottom. The 1st section and the last 3 sections have no flow at all.I bought this product for it's height to be able to reach me as I sit on bed and work. It cools my lap, unless I turn it more then Half the V is the other way and I might as well have bought a traditional tower.
Pros: Attractive, Circulates Air Well, Range of Speeds

Living in an old apartment with radiators that offer no temperature controls, we need some way to move the air around our bedroom for sleeping comfort. This moves a lot of air around and does it quietly. Great buy.

Fan works well. We have 120+ year old home with poor circulation. This fan did a good job circulating air in our bedroom while also being tall enough to blow gently over our bed.

really helps in the garage in Texas

postitioned the tower to cover a wide area in the garage. Once circulation is established (bout a minute) cooling is very nice. Really like not having the back and forth of an oscillating fan. Only problem is the REMOTE, and I use that term loosely, the first remote worked only within 2.5 feet, Vornado set a replacement that only works withiin 1.5 feet of the unit. Working with Vornado to get a real remote. At high speed its a little load, but it sets 10 feet away so not bad, plus it is usually set on speeds 1 and 2 which are great. If the remote problem gets resolved highly recommend it.

I bought this fan to replace a Honeywell fan that finally died after 8 years. This fan is very quiet and has great air circulation. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a slim profile high air flow fan.

Great room circulator

I just received my Vornado and it's great so far! We have a pellet stove to heat our main level and use the upstairs heating unit as a supplement. The Vornado when placed in front of the pellet stove really helps move the air. This is our second year with our pellet stove and the difference from last year without the Vornado is noticeable. It seems to be of sturdy construction and it can withstand the high heat of the pellet stove (so far). It is noisy on the highest setting but significantly quieter on settings 1-3. I just hope that the noise output isn't an indication of how much air it is actually moving.
