I haven't exactly tested the durability, drop protection, or waterproof protection, but the case seems sturdy and seems as though it would protect it well. The only flaw that I can think of is the charging port is covered and once you pull off the OtterBox port cover, it is very difficult to get the Samsung S5 charging port cover off so that you can plug it in.
I would recommend this to a friend!

You have to tear the charging cover off of the phone. Unless you want to open the door on the phone itself with something that has a point.

Does what it says it will do. Like other reviews have said the access to the charging port is a problem. The overall size is pretty large. That is not a problem for me. However, since this is not going in your pocket as much as it will be set down on something, it really needs a non-slip surface on the back. Just put 4 rubber contact points filling the back corners, problem solved. I hope Otterbox considers a retrofit kit for this.
Cons: needs rubber antislip on back surface.

The case is is the best I've used the only major fall back is that it don't have a belt I have tried to match it up with other belt clips so could use it but no luck yet.
It would be great if it had a belt clip.
Please let me know when you all come out with one so I can start using my preserver case.

The case looks great and the feel of the material is good.
The opening port for charging the phone is bad, very bad.
The small plastic piece provided to help you prop the phone's charging cover out is not useful. It does not work. In the tutorial video, the part where the guy props open the charging cover is not shown clearly.
Not for daily use. If you are taking the phone to a swimming pool or for snorkeling/scuba diving, then buy. Otherwise, don't bother.

The case has protected my phone greatly, however, it already has a few scratches on the cover and dirt can still get under it. Also, I can't open my charger port as the cover is to it is too deep. I have to use a needle to reach it and open it. Overall its a good case, it just needs to have a better design for the charging end.

Best Phone Cover

Bought this after lengthy searching for a phone cover that would take the hard knocks that I tend to give my Samsung galaxy S5. After using it I would have to say this is the best cover by way I have owned. I have had a lot of enquiries from work mates where to purchase one and am quite happy to demonstrate the excellent shock and water proof qualities of the cover. I recently purchased another Otterbox cover for my Samsung Note 10.1 2014 edition. Also a 5 star product

Love this case, it does make the phone slightly bulky, however it is VERY lightweight and the smooth plastic makes it very easy to get in and out of pockets, it is shaped perfectly that i never have issues with it snagging on my my pockets or anything else!
Waterproofing was tested per instructions and functioned well. Have not yet had it encounter water in real life outside of just rain.
The cover /opening over the charge port makes it very hard to open the cover that comes on the phone. I usually have to use a paperclip or get my wife to open it. I thought about removing the second cover but with teh charge port prob being the most susceptible thing to water damage im worried it may effect protection. that my only complaint about this case!
Overall love the case, if the opening/closing of the charger port could be made easier or Otterbox could confirm that the case alone is sufficient protection and i can remove the stock cover i would bump up to 4 stars!
