Hello I just want to say the case is awesome ! I baught it for my sons samsung 5S. And you wonder why the phone is water proof already . But when you have a 13 year old active son I didn't want to take any chances. He has been in camp for 7 weeks and as you can imagine he is around the pool or the beach every day. So far it has hit the water twice been dropped on concrete at least three time and I'll tell you it kept the 5s brand new and undameged. I've had three otter boxes and the case are great but I have to say after my son has had it going on5 weeks with total protection I love this case. If you want the best protection you can get do your self a favor and go buy this case. It is the best protection you can get in a smart phone case . Ask my son. Well you know how rough kids are and I have had no problems with this case and it protected my sons samsung 5 S at least 5 times from falls and water. Thank you OTTER BOX . Big AL in Yonkers N.Y. Good luck you will be very happy with this case !

I love the S5 case with just a few drawbacks. It makes it very difficult to pop off the charger port and is a little large. But the good outweighs the bad by far here as this case is a beast when exposed to water or falling. Ive had many different brands and types but this case is the best yet for me. It seems a lot of time went into the design to not impede functions as well which is great!
Pros: High quality, Durable, waterproof!, nice feel, easy to put on and off, doesnt dissrupt any functions
Cons: slightly large, charger port hard to reach

Fell out of a kayak and got back in, the case showed signs of water in it. I turned the phone off, dried the case and opened it and yes it was contaminated with water.

okay case

Case seemed like it would last a long time, bought it the same week it came out and already the rubber is peeling off around the charging port. Also you can't open the charging port without using a knive or something which is a terrible design. Case has not leaked yet and seals seem to be very nice. Build quality is not very good and design is bad but provides good protection and doesn't leak so overall its an okay case.
Pros: waterproof
Cons: Low quality, bad design, rubber peeling off
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good overall case but a downfall

It is a good case but it does have a downfall. I am unable to open the charging port on the phone while this case in on unless I have a knife or key.

Cons: charging port on phone unaccessible

It is a very good case in terms of protection but water leaked into the phone when I accidentally dropped it in the pool, mind you that the seals were closed all the way and tight.
Pros: Durable

I purchased this case as soon as it became available for my Sprint Galaxy S5. Overall I'm very pleased with the case, but there are a few things that I'd like to point out.
1) The charger port on the phone itself is impossible to open without the tool that is provided with the case or something similarly shaped. What I did is that I removed the charger port cover on the phone itself, which takes 5 minutes or less and is easy to put back on if necessary.
2) The rubber flap for the charger port was VERY stiff originally and without fingernails it was very difficult to open up. Over time this has softened up. What I do is that I try to slip my finger under the edge of the rubber flap and bend it up from right to left. This has now created a curve in the charger flap that allows me to open it easier without compromising the protection.
3) The case adds significantly more bulk to the phone. The phone itself is very light, but this case makes it feel like a brick in my pocket. I'm okay with this because I like the protection, but for something this size, you would expect some extra features such as a kick stand or mount.
4) PUT A KICKSTAND ON YOUR CASES!!!! ALL PHONES SHOULD HAVE KICKSTANDS FOR VIEWING MEDIA!!!! IF YOU PUT A KICKSTAND ON YOUR CASES IT WOULD BE THE ULTIMATE ALL-AROUND CASE!!!! What I did was to buy a stick on kickstand and it's secured to the case. this works great, but adds more bulk to the phone because it's not built in.
5) Overall the case performs well and doesn't distort the sound quality or call quality by any noticeable amount. The camera picture quality is unaffected and the front plastic appears to resist smudges. I also like the tactile button feel for the sleep and volume buttons. This is a great case but it could've been better!

Case was everything that i was looking for. It is very durable I've tried it out for a few days now and i have dropped my phone only a few times but it has provided me with the protection i need. The quality of the material is excellent as well. It passed the water tests i did with the case as well. The only flaw in the design would have to be the muffled speaker system. However i will still give this case a five star rating because i did purchase this product knowing that fact because it came with every other quality i desired.
