My Broan QS3 Allure

I purchased this unit to replace my older QS2 range hood. Unfortunately that unit expired. I liked it so much that I ordered this unit. It was a drop in for me since all I had to do was configure the internal exhaust damper to exhaust to an out door vent.
They must've done something to the unit since it's quieter than the older unit. The exhaust works great and does a good job of removing any smoke from the range area and sending outside.
I will recommend this unit to all who are looking for a good range hood.

A nice product

Does the job well. Would have been easier to install if it came with a template making cut out for vent easier and more accurate. Highest setting very noisy

Low sound level

We have a combined kitchen and living 'great' room and I wanted a low sound level. This product full-filled my needs. It has other great features too.

Excellent Product

We replaced our unit that came with the new Home with this model. So far 3 years later, it is working great - we cook with heavy spices and this product helps us keep the odors from being spread into our home.

So quiet!

Love this range hood! It's so quiet and powerful! I cook a lot with oil and just takes the smoke and smell away easily. Also, I love the 'warning filters need to be cleaned' because it tells me in time when I need to just pop them in the dishwasher for a thorough cleaning.
Beautiful design: sleek and modern look. I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend to anyone who's looking for an effective range hood.

Effective exhaust, moderately difficult installation, below average construction.

My installation was a bit difficult due to the infrastructure around the fan did not provide adequate mounting points and needed to be shimmed.When finished the installation looked good and fit well in the space where the old one was.
I installed it to exhaust the air outside. I had to seal off some of the exhaust pathway inside the fan to prevent the air from going where it should not. Some of the air is still blowing back out into the kitchen because the screws holding the sheet metal around the lights do not tighten in their holes. Therefore there is a gap through which air leaks back.I used all the parts which came with the unit. The holes and screws are not a match.

Good Product

My only concern was the fact that when the fan was on high speed, it did not take the smoke out fast enough, and the smoke alarms go moff quite frequently.

Light not working

Hi, I have had this for just over 3 years. Recently the right side light went out. I replaced bulb with working bulbs and it does not work. Any suggestions? I have tried using bulbs that work in the left side. No other issues. I would like this problem resolved. Thanks.

Thank you for taking the time to review your QS330SS Allure range hood. We would first recommend this easiest thing to try. Turn the power off to the hood. On the bottom of each socket is a little gold tab. If you gently pull up this tab, it could solve the issue. Sometimes the bottom of the bulbs loses connection with this tab and they no longer get the connection to light. With different bulb manufacturers making slightly different bulb sizes, this happens more and more.
