My favorite tablet so far.

I use this tablet for reading, watching movies, writing (with a wireless keyboard), games, CAD design, social media, listening to music, and surfing the web. It hasn't let me down yet for any of these tasks. I like the 16:9 aspect ratio compared to the 4:3 for two reasons: first, movies fill the screen; and second, it fits in my suit pocket or the back pocket of my jeans.
I can't do a review of this tablet without mentioning the screen. It's truly amazing. The AMOLED screen is so vibrant! I have had AMOLED screens before, and white looked kind of yellow, but this tablet has color setting options that seem to have fixed that. I have seen reviews that say the 4:3 aspect ratio is better for reading, but I prefer the narrower screen for books.
The only complaint I have is that there is a lag or stutter when scrolling in some apps. That said, I noticed the same stuttering with ipad mini 4 and nexus 7 2013. It seems like any tablet these days should be able to scroll smoothly.
I use tablets for visual tasks, so regardless of what is happening in the background, I want the display to be versitile, stable, and beautiful. The tab s delivers this in a format that works well for me.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, Built-in speakers, Durable, Lightweight
Cons: scroll stutter/lag

i bought this tablet two weeks ago, and i believe this is one of the best investments i"ve made. the tab s 8 4 is just the right size for me to carry everywhhere i go. I bought a case along with a keyboard. now i use it to take notes in class7

I've had my new Tab S 8.4 for a month now and it is phenomenal. It is the perfect size and it runs flawlessly. The screen resolution is what sets it apart from other tablets at this price point.
This is the ideal tablet for media. Watching movies and surfing the web is so enjoyable on this tablet.
The camera takes good pictures but the video records great video!
Overall it is a great premium tablet that I highly recommend... especially if you can get on sale like I did.

Excellent Tablet in 8 inch race

I have used different kinds of tablets ranging from 7 inch to 10 inch on different platforms but Samsung tab S 8.4 is best in terms of display,weight and speed.
Its very sleek,handy and at the same time with a good build quality.You will have good viewing experience of AMOLED which is missing in most of the non samsung products.
Picture and Videos appear so good on this tablet.
I read some of the techy books on tab and watch lot of Youtube videos with good battery backup.
I extended the storage capacity with 128GB MicroSD on top of 32 gb which gives lot of room for movies ,songs ,pictures and books.
Its very sleek,handy and at the same time with a good build quality.You will have good viewing experience of AMOLED which is missing in most of the non samsung products.
Picture and Videos appear so good on this tablet.

After researching many tablets, I decided to purchase the TabS for the Amoled screen. I purchased this right before we went on a Disney trip, hoping to get some great pictures and video. The 8.4 is also a good size to take with you to the store when you have to look up stuff right there. The only thing I feel needs to be better are the pictures in medium to low light. The tablet takes great pictures in bright light or when it's sunny outside, but low light situations they become grainy. I also have the Galaxy S6 which takes excellent pictures in both. My daughter dropped my TabS and cracked the screen. It works, but costs as much as a new tablet almost to fix. I wish the screen glass would have been a separate piece to make any repairs much cheaper. Now, I have to wait to
buy a new tablet. I recommend purchasing a rugged case like otterbox for this tablet as soon as you get it for protection. Otherwise, this tablet is light, beautiful and great to use for almost anything you need to.

I love this tablet! I also have a full size iPad but prefer the galaxy tab S 8.4 for its performance and size.

this tab is the best tablet i have ever owned and i own a few including nexus 7 and ipad air. Its like having a mini plasma tv with excelent black levels and color pop. I will buy another one if i can find it.......this is even better that the tab s 2 imo..buy one!!!
