I strongly reccomend this tablet from Samsung.
It has an excelent design and it's very comfortable to handle and operate.
Battery duration is very reasonable.
Powerful one at a very good price.

I am not impressed with this tablet

I am very disappointed with this tablet. I researched and asked a friend about his Samsung products. I got good reviews. This tablet is very hard to hold. You have to hold in certain places or it locks up and you can't do anything. I am forever losing my posts. I am not sure why that happens. I can't find the dictionary. The spell check doesn't work right. The timeline (?) At the top of the page is too small. I prefer the tablet I had before this. It just didn't have enough memory, so I decided that Samsung was a better product. I was wrong.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, camera is excellent
Cons: Did not meet expectations, too hard to hold
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Practically perfect in every way

My previous 10 inch tablet was too heavy, slow and performed poorly. My wife has a 7 inch Samsung that works well, but is too small for me. This one hit the mark perfectly. It is not too heavy and performs marvelously in every category.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Not high def

The screen of this tablet is FANTASTIC, the best I’ve ever seen. Both cameras included are high definition which makes video conferencing a pleasure. Holding the tablet in one hand is very easy thanks to its light weight and materials used. The software that Samsung puts on top of Android 5.0.2 its impressive; that software includes a great keyboard, a very convenient side window to do multitasking, a mail application that is simple and efficient, a complete version of Hancom Office for free, many gifts like free apps & free magazine subscriptions just for registering the tablet, and a lot of options to customize the settings to make the tablet feel your own.
Trying to mention everything that makes this tablet so good would make this review extremely large, having said that, there is plenty of room for improvement. Performance is “choppy” and “laggy”, it should be way smoother; the speakers sound good but their position is really bad, I cover them every-time in landscape mode (front speakers would be much better); battery life is just OK, and battery charging should be way faster; screen optimization needs a lot of work and you notice it a lot when surfing the web.
In conclusion, this is a great tablet with lots of great features, and in my opinion the best screen on the market as of June 2015. Performance is just OK, but when considering the price its not that easy to find better options.

Tablet is nice to play my Clash of Clans, takes nice pictures, and google play is cool. There is a lot of pre installed apps i have no use for & you have to make too many email accounts. Too big to carry to listen to music.

Died after 8 months

I only had this product for 8 months and used it for watching movies. Only used it for 3 or 4 times on a trip. It worked great while it lasted but not worth it. At about 8 months I went to download movies for another trip and it had died.
Cons: only lasted 8 months
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I did a lot of reading up on Android based tablets when I decided to get one. The one that kept popping up in most of the "Best of" lists was the Galaxy S 8.4. Nobody really had anything negative to say abut it. So based on that knowledge and my love for my Galaxy S6 phone, I made the fairly easy decision to go with the 8.4....although I did for a moment consider the larger 10" model. When I go the unit and configured it to my liking I was and still am thoroughly impressed. There's a lot going on in this little beast. It's got power to spare and the screen, oh the screen....it's well, gorgeous. My one criticism is not even directly related to the 8.4 in particular but to all android devices. I hate software (some call it bloatware) that I don't want and can't delete. Especially when said software uses up RAM. Other than that, you can't go wrong with this tablet..

Cons: "bloatware"
