The screen is the star of the show!

However, the performance on the device isn't all that great. The GPU struggles to perform under some very basic conditions at times and noticeably lags. The screen truly is the shining gem though. Also, offering a basic 16gb of storage on tablets needs to stop!
Pros: Bright display
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The best tablet on the market!

The quality of this tablet is great. It's well built, light and thin. Leather finish is soft to touch and helps with the grip. I am enjoying playing games, listening music and watching videos. The colors are amazing on this tablet! And I like the fact it's fast and very smooth. Overall it's a great tablet for the entertaining and business or school.
At 58 years young text size and readability are becoming increasingly important to me. The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 will be a dream machine for many, especially the younger generations. But, for many of us middle-ager's, it will be less than ideal. The performance is exceptional. The design is almost flawless, except for the omission of a mini HDMI port. But, useability is hampered by the Android OS and a lack of true integration of "Accessibility" features with many popular apps (ergo Facebook, Twitter, Gmail, etc., Did you know in the Facebook Android app there is NO setting to change text size or fonts?!). Changing the font size on the Android system under Accessibility features does NOTHING for Facebook, and so many other Android applications. And, it only minimally helps with Web browsing (many section headings, callouts, sidebar items, etc., are still dinky and hard to see even though you may have cranked up the system font size). So, depending on your activities and age, this tablet may have limited value. At this point I actually find it easier to read my social content and email on my Samsung Note 3 than on the Tab S 8.4!! I hate to admit it, but I'm going to take a look at an iPad Mini and see if they have this worked out, and if they do, then that's where I'm heading!
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: android os, limited accessibility integration to popular apps
I would recommend this to a friend!

Ram utilization is very high. I have few apps installed. Expecting android 4.4.4 soon as it has many of the bugs fixed and battery related issues are also released. I hope samsung resolves these things. Excluding performance rest all are very good. I look the design, display and easy to carry.
Cons: Did not meet expectations, performance is not upto expectation.

I traded a 3rd Gen iPad for this, not a good trade. The keyboard is not as accepting of near letter typing. Many errors. Speed, not sure what makes it fast but using Google Earth I was getting blurred images. No period on hitting the space bar twice? Really? How hard could that be to add. Accessories are terribly expensibe and limited. As I'm typing this, the typing has hung two times. I'm sorry I have this now.
I purchased this model on 13th of Sep 14. There was no issue for the first 15 days. Now all kind of problem I am facing with this mobile sudden drop of battery charging, full set hangs and it won't restart. Sudden failure of network signal.
Cons: Poor quality, Not high def, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Why why why Samsung do you have a proprietry charging Lead!!!!

If i had know that the only way you can charge this thing is with the supplied lead i never would have bought it. The only reason I went Samsung was because my business uses the Phones and we expected that we could swap and share cables around the office and when travelling.
Thats the last Samsung device we will buy.
Cons: Did not meet expectations, proprietry charging lead
