Love the Refrigerator

It is very spacious, quiet. The shelves are located efficiently so no need to bend. Check the dimensions before instalaltion. it is really big. The milk shelves are big.
It would be good to have two shelves with sliders so you can make it a big shelf to store larger bottles or vessels. The fridge has only one. The freezer is also very spacious.
The handles are too big and less elegant.
Pros: easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

Worth the money!

When my old side-by-side went on the fritz, I knew first and foremost that I wanted a refrigerator with wider shelves. I checked different consumer rating sites and found that the LG was the highest rated. The deal was cinched when I learned my appliance serviceman owned an LG at home. I love the wide shelves, extra storage capacity, and the control panel's ease of use. It's extremely quiet and I never hear the icemaker filling with water or dumping ice like I did with my old refrigerator. This refrigerator is superior to any other style or brand I've ever owned. Great job, LG!!

Great space, size and features

We recently acquired this refrig about 2 months ago as a replacement to a refrig we purchased about 15 years ago and who's time had come. With a family of 4 our smaller side-by-side was stretched and we opted to get as much appliance as would fit in our cabinet space.
This is pretty much, from what I read, as big a refrig as you can buy without getting into industrial appliances.
The space is obviously spacious! The other particular feature I needed was the ability to open the doors no more than 90 degrees and still be able to use the drawers because our unit up against a side wall, preventing the left door from completely opening. This unit has well-designed areas cut into the bottom of the door shelves allowing the drawer to fully come out while doors are 90 degrees. Excellent design!
Cooling seems to be good. I have read some reviews about cooling fluctuations that could affect how long things stay fresh and whether it's because of frequent openings by the family, I have noticed some vegetables appearing to spoil a little more quickly than in the past. Not sure why but it's an observation.
Tons of room in freezer and with three functional areas, allows us to organize well. Would have been nice to have the small shelf/bin that other models have attached to the inside of the door (good for ice pops and other similar go-to items) but there's a lot of other room.
Only hesitation about this appliance is that it's expensive but getting something at this size and style it's in the market--it's more of a sticker shock for us coming from meeker beginnings!

Unbelievable refrigerator

We were hesitant about replacing our GE side by side until it started making noises. Labor day weekend we saw some ads and decided to check out the LG family of refrigerators. When we came upon this mega-size 33.5 CF my wife was sold. This machine is quiet and large enough to fit all the groceries. The ice maker is out of the way and quiet. The best feature is the drawer type freezer. It is large enough to get a 20 LB turkey in and room to spare. My wife loves this appliance and I do, also. I recommend that you look at the cost, figure this machine will last 10-15 years, and the benefits far out weigh going with a smaller size.

Better than all other brands.

The ice maker is in the door unlike other brands that take up a lot of space in the fridge. It makes small triangle cubes or crushed ice. Unlike the other brands that make half circles so the ice sticks to the bottom then breaks free to slam you in the face. You can still stack stuff on the door behind the icemaker without loosing any space. I stored all my freezer stuff in my Moms storage freezer and it took up 3/4 of the space from bottom to top. When I moved the freezer items I did not think this freezer was big enough. I'm still surprised that it fit and I still have a lot more space. I could not be happier with this purchase.

We shopped extensively and found nothing equal to this well-engineered refrigerator. Everything about it reflects outstanding design, engineering, and manufacturing; all in a very practical attractive package. We love it! it's not our first LG purchase, and it will not be our last.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality, so practical!

This product exceeded my expectations in size

Great capacity after having a side by side refrigerator. I can fit enough food for a family of 7. Even when company is over. The only thing I would change is the three small drawers for fruits and vegetables. I would only have two. Cannot fit large vegetable in it like cauliflower and broccoli. I would definitely recommend over the over french door refrigerators I have seen.

Was not sure if I'd like the French door style, but I am a total convert. Previously had a side-by-side model and will never go back. Now I can put a 16 inch pizza flat on the shelf in both the freezer and refrigerator. Multiple shelves and drawers offer more storage options.
