Not happy with the performance at this time.

Installation was 12/7/2012...one month to the day, the freezer stopped working and had to be serviced. I hope this is no indication as to the reliability of this product. We are presently waiting for the panel behind the freezer to arrive so that it can be replaced as it frosted up and the fans were not turning.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use, large capacity
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Flood within 24 hrs.

Our water dispenser stuck on less than 24 hours of install . Was repaired and 24 hrs. later, another flood. Techs had to replace water and ice internals. So not happy with quality. But glad everyone else has had a good showing. Airborne Doug 173RD

Not worth the money!

I have owned an LG french door refridgerator for only a year and a half and continue to have problem after problem! The freezer section stopped working after owning the fridge for only 13 months and the repair was not covered. The motor on the ice maker went out after 17 months. When you pay this much for an appliance you expect it to work longer than 13 months. So frustrating!
Pros: Style/Design
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The refrigerator is a beauty. Looks, interior lighting, capacity. It has it all. However, since I have now owned this product for 1 year I find the following which prevents me from giving it a 5-Star rating:
1. The compressor has a louder than normal hum.
2. The freezer compartment middle slide-tray comes off track easily (noted in another review from another person
3. The ice maker jams often. This seems to be because the ice melts together at the bottom of the dispenser. Requires either a moderate shake of the dispenser or a dumping of the ice.

Great Storage - Poor Ice Maker - Ripples in Door

The refrigerator has a tremendous amount of storage and that part is designed well, the ice maker doesn't produce enough (that is probably why the new model has two ice machines). For the amount paid, the Stainless steel door should be straight, but it has uneven bumps around the door handles, making it look cheap. Semi-happy with the model, but the ice maker and ripples on the stainless steel door are disappointing.

Love this refrigerator

how can you not love the spaciousness, the quality, the price and the satisfaction that I have the best product. I noticed that my electric bill went down and this just looks so nice and it is so quiet. Well worth the price and I highly recommend this refrigerator and if I had to do it all over again, I would not hesitate to make this purchase all over again.

I've had my fridge for just over a year now and love the size and layout. What I don't like is the quality of the interior components. Everything is very "plasticy". The ice-maker easily jams, the roller shelf in the freezer easily comes off it's tracks, and the shelves in the refrigerator bend/bow with just one 1/2 gal of milk. Luckily it is BIG so stuff can usually be spread out to relieve the shelves of too much weight. This unit is also quite a bit deeper than normal and my personal preference would have been to make it taller not deeper - just to save floor space. That said, I do still like it but I just wish the quality was better. My old fridge was 27 years old and I doubt this unit will last 1/2 that long - but I guess that is the world we live in now.
