The ice-maker was almost always failing, and the inside temp always struggled to stay sufficiently cold. It lasted 8 years; just had it hauled away two days ago.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've bought the French Door Refrigator Stainless Steel about 4 years ago. I had a bad experience. The refrigator will constantly leaking water that eventually freezes in the compartments that often needs to be defrosted to remove frozen sheets of ice. The compartments needs to also be maintained by removing the water buildup that is constantly filling up with water. The other bad experience is that LG should provide immediate insurance that can be Life Time. Unfortunately, LG does not give you a Life Time Warranty. Other companies offer that but not LG. Since LG stands for Life Good. It is not the case. I do hope that LG can provide a new Refrigator to back up the Product. Unfortunately, they do not. The rating is just 1 star. I do hope that some LG can change their policy and help their Loyal Customers.

6 mos after initial purchase the compressor went out! 9 years later we’re dealing with a Freon leak.

I recently had my refrigerator repaired. The fan assembly had stopped functioning properly and was not properly cooling the refrigerator. The service man was on time and did an excellent job of replacing the assembly and ensured a mess was not made. He also made some suggestions for replacing the middle drawer in the freezer as it’s no longer being manufacturered.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the largest models that they’ve made and have owned it for almost 9 years. You can’t beat the storage capacity. What I wish they would have done differently is the middle freezer drawer design. Has a habit of falling in and the wheel broke off making it hard to handle that droor. Also wish the would have designed an egg holder on one of the drawers. Also the ice maker sometimes freezes up and won’t extract ice and not the easiest to injam. But for the most part, I have been pretty happy with the refrigerator.
We have had this for years and we have a large family, this thing has plenty of space for Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner. The adjustable shelving allows for any configuration to fit everything you have, even a whole turkey. The only down side is the ice bin is pretty small, so with a large family it is often empty. Over all we have loved having this refrigerator and will keep it until it is unrepairable.
