[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had our 3 Door French Door LG refrigerator for many years. We had 7 children and now have 12 grandchildren. It gets opened and shut and used by many in our family. We love it and could not live without it.
Pros: Style/Design, ease of use, Features/Settings, Performance, Quality

Compressor Issues
on April 28, 2021

We bought this refrigerator at the end of 2013 though we have a small family because we pre-prep all our meals for the week. Unfortunately, it has not been a pleasant experience as we have had multiple issues with the compressor. The compressor was replaced in 2017 and that one quit working now and needs to be replaced. The labor is not covered, so I have to shell out money again. Not to mention the cost of the food we had to throw out due to spoilage. I expected more from LG (as it comes with a 10-year warranty on the compressor) and am disappointed with the issues we had to face. I have other products from LG that are still going strong but would hesitate to recommend LG refrigerators.

Problems and more problems

We purchased ours in Oct 2014. No big issues at first other than the ice continually sticks together in the ice maker. In early 2018 the compressor went out at no cost to us we purchased an extended warranty. Then last year the compressor went out again during the holidays. It worked for 2 weeks and went out again along with the rest of the system. We lost a lot of food the ruined each time and we will never recoup any of that. Did I mention almost 6 months later and they are out of replacement parts so we wait. Is there a refrigerator lemon law?? Any help appreciated. We have an LG Tv and have had it for the last for 14 years and still going. Too bad I can’t same the same about the refrigerator we purchased thinking we would get the same quality :(

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought it 7 years ago. About 3 years ago, it began making a terrible noise. It would stop before the repairman arrived. Finally the fifth repairman repaired it. Less than 6 months later the noise started again. Of course the noise stopped before the repairman arrived. HERE WE GO AGAIN!
Pros: Performance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this fridge 8 years come January, 2022. Stainless steel finish is the nicest looking and at 33 cubic feet, its the largest refer we've had. All settings are on the front door, no need to hold the door open as with our previous refrigerators. Only problems we've had are a door hinge and the compressor needed replaced. The ice dispenser worked great for almost six years. Now that the fridge is almost 8 years old I have given up on relying on it for ice and purchased a countertop icemaker. The fridge runs warmer now, so the ice melts, then sticks together jamming the icemaker up. I've had a few repairmen out to look at it, but after replacing the compressor, they haven't been able to get it to run cold enough. It still gets down to 39 degrees at best, but hovers around 42-45 degrees. Thermostat is set to 34 degrees. During warmer days in the summer, it runs up to a warmer 50 degrees. That is when I avoid buying food to put in it and use an older smaller refrigerator to store medications, etc... The LG cannot be trusted in the summer to store medications that require a sub 46 degree temperature.
