Worth the money

Great MFP, high quality prints/copies. The printer was easily recognized by my home mac and a work (govt) win computer. No issues installing drivers on either. Seamlessly integrates with my home network. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a high quality MF laser printer.
Pros: Easy Setup, High Quality Output, fast print speed, easy to use

The device simply doesn't work as a scanner. OK as a printer or copier but the wireless scanning setup is a pain and when it doesn't work the error message is simply "Error". Don't waste your money on this.

very poor scanning quality

I bought MF4890dw to replace an older model (MF4450) and were horrified by the scanning quality. It was much worse than the older model. There is no control for the scanning function. This is huge backward regression for Canon. I do not want to buy another Canon MF printer any more.

I love this printer!

My last printer was a Canon inkjet which still runs fine after 6 years. But it gradually dawned on me that a laser would have lower operating costs, and other advantages.
I wanted another Canon, and was able to get this one at a killer price. It prints much faster than my old printer. The print quality is much better -- really crisp and excellent. And the toner costs are much less. I can also print to it wirelessly from my iPad and iPhone.
Had it about two months and I couldn't be happier.

Great Printer for the Price!

Great Printer, and great value for the price. I have a previous model that I bought 4 years ago and its still going. I bought this one because I thought the old one was broken from me dropping it when it actually is fine, so now I have both of them up and running!
Pros: Easy Setup, durable, High Quality Output, fast print speed

Ok, but would not buy again

- Great price for dual sided printing
- Print quality is not acceptable even with other toner types
- Menu features are weak
- Have owned for a year but have to give it away and get something with decent print quality

Good Machine

We bought this machine a couple of years ago to replace a functional inkjet office machine - I was tired of messing with printer ink cartridges. My wife uses it to print receipts and makes copies and I use it to scan photographs. We have no complaints on it's operation. Print and scan qualities are good and meet our needs.

Plain and simple the most reliable printer I've ever owned. Stays on my wireless network. Doesn't give me any hassles. Prints immediately from multiple computers. Fast fast fast. Love it.
