Great System

I thought the Federal Tax Returns were great. There was an error in my state tax calculations. TurboTax indicated I had taxes due when in fact that State does not tax annuities that were taxed previously.
What's great about it: Easy and Efficient
What's not so great: State Tax calculations were in error - showed I had taxes due - not so

Overall the program is excellent. However it is sometime difficult to find previous questions asked. For example I did my sons and it asked about someone else being able to file him. Originally I choose no. Once I realize that I could because of his limited income I was never able to find that questions to check yes someone else can file him

What's not so great: difficult to go back and correct mistakes

My only complaint is that it is not easy to revise individual items after completion of a section. I finally started over after a first run and then all went well.

I like the way TurboTax walks me through the the entire tax data collection, review, and filing process, step-by-step. It remembers where I left off when I quit and return later and it also reminds me of tasks that I skipped, to do at a later time.
TurboTax, however in my opinion, is a little too repetitive and wordy in it's explanations and instructions. There are also some places in the process, that TurboTax forgets the user/customer isn't a tax specialist or accountant and I wonder if I did the right thing.
What's great about it: Quick and almost painless
What's not so great: A little too wordy....
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

How could anyone do their taxes without this program. Don't go to the tax professionals do it yourself and save money and time. Very easy to understand and use. Just read and click.
What's great about it: Easy to use and understand
What's not so great: Instructions could be audible. State efiling should be free with purchase.

I love TurboTax, and I've been using it for many years. I love how I can go on my own because I have experience now, or I can let the program walk me through every question. The only Feedback that I would offer is that you used to have better help files. Now you get a lot of links to publications & such. I used to love the older versions of TurboTax help better. The help should be directly related to the data field that you have your cursor in. Then if you have a question, it used to be so helpful when the girl in the little help video would pop up and explain what that field was for, in layman's terms, as well as the IRS babble? Remember, we are not tax pro's, that's why we bought TurboTax. But I love your software just the same! Thanks so much for all the years of helping and teaching me to do this task myself.
What's great about it: Easy to use, and lets you choose to go at your own pace.
What's not so great: I wish you had better help files, and not so many links.
