I've used Turbo Tax for many years now and like the control I have and the expertise the program has.

Been using Turbo Tax since 2005. The software is very easy to use despite the increasing complexity of the tax laws. The explanations and linkages to the IRS forms are very helpful. The comparison feature between the current and previous tax years for income and expenses provides a quick ballpark check as to whether the current years numbers make sense and can point to areas that may have missing data.
What's great about it: Transfer of previous year's information. Its Deductible for charity deductions.
What's not so great: Does not prompt to check all specific areas from the previous year

Death Taxes and Easy Prep

I loved the option of looking at my progress in the "forms" view. I don't trust programs working in the background, so it was nice to check the progress in the "forms" view. I have prepared my own taxes since 1982, and each year they have increased in complication due to my life's circumstances. I love how much time Turbo Tax saves me!!
What's great about it: Turbo tax is so easy to use. I like the option of going through the interview or exploring on my own.
What's not so great: I don't trust computer programs by nature, so I always worry something will be missed or fogotten.

I've used Turbo Tax for years, and it always has been an easy process from start to finish. Turbo Tax finds deductions, walks you through complicated situations, and gets you the highest refund possible.

Fast and easy

I really like Turbo tax. Have used it for years. Quick, simple. I was surprised to find I had to pay for the Oregon state forms as on the package I bought, It was listed as free.
What's not so great: I got charged for state and package said it was free
