Couldn't do without TurboTax

I like the way TurboTax is organized and the way you can click for additional explanations. Instructions are clear and easy to follow. Unless you are dealing with extremely complicated financial transactions, I can't imaging why anyone would pay an accountant for the type of service TurboTax provides. I've used it for several years and have always been impressed.
What's great about it: Comprehensive, easy to follow, up to date.
What's not so great: I hate paying taxes!

Good But Room To Improve

Add more links to detailed info in the Explanations. Design TurboTax to remember every box checked upon review of State Return – when you go back and press the edit button, it remembers number entered, but you have to re-check all those boxes.
What's great about it: Step by step guides, Explanation Help and Links
What's not so great: Reentry some info when reviewing the details of State Return and some detail sections of the Fed Return

Overall a good product, they make it easy to re-use the same tax software each year because they transfer the data. I miss the videos and they used to partner with other companies to enhance your refund.
What's great about it: Easy step-by-step process
What's not so great: Sometimes using the 'back' button causes false infomation

I have had a lot some problems with TurboTax making mistakes or omitting important tax details. One of them caused me to be audited. The price has gotten a little ridiculous. It's making me think twice about buying it next year.
What's great about it: Handles all forms
What's not so great: Not very user friendly and very expensive

I've used Turbo Tax for about 12 years or so and it keeps getting better. I particularly like the fact that many W-2's are directly importable to the program. Accuracy is a good as it gets.
What's great about it: ease of use, depth of return

Taxes Ughh!

Turbo Tax does a good job of walking you through all the tax maze and then doing all the math and form filling. With out this program tax time is a nightmare.
What's great about it: Makes the impossible possible
What's not so great: Have to pay for State efile
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
