Turbo Tax is so easy to use. No going to the library to get all the forms you need (and always having to make at least a 2nd trip because you inevitably forget a form or don't know you need a form until later. Program remembers your deductions from previous years which makes it easy to get every return you are due. Pulling state info from Fed Return gives you an early look at your entire tax picture.
What's great about it: auto transfer of previous year's taxes, autofill of state taxes
What's not so great: paying to e-file State

I have been using TurboTax for over 10 years now and I think the 2012 version was the simplest to use yet!

I have been using TurboTax to prepare my income taxes for over 10 years now and the 2012 version was the easiest one to use EVER!
What's great about it: Couldn't be any simpler!

This is my 2nd year filing with Turbo Tax. The prompts and step by step process makes it simple to get your Tax Return done! Sad I did not find this earlier.

Using Turbotax is like peeling bananas with hands and eat. I explore my return in the category I have never known I entitled to.
What's great about it: Fast and accurate, maximizing your return in a easy way
What's not so great: none
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Hard to file for RDP in CA

The program is ok. However, an automated help for calculating adjustments for California RDP in community property should be included.
Why having a software if then I must spend a lot of time calculating the adjustments by hand? :)

Would be nice if the software could create the mock joint return (for then filing state taxes) from the two single returns for Federal purposes.
Plus, on the family life option below is missing RDP :)
What's great about it: easy to use (for regular folks), nice customer support
What's not so great: RDP and community property are still a pain
