I have no suggestions on how you could improve the program. It is very userfriendly especially to a first timer.

I have used this software since 1978, and like the privacy of doing my taxes at home, where I can review my files and take my time to check my figures.
What's great about it: consistent, provides privacy of home security
What's not so great: not the cheapest on the market

Smooth Filing

In a nut shell, great program. Have always used it and have never had any major problems. Its better each year and im hoping to see a few more clarification points for next year (for those of us who are not tax savvy)
What's great about it: Simplistic, easy to understand
What's not so great: Clarification on more questions (need more hyperlinks)
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

Got me a great refund

I really like the tips that come up throughout the questionaires because it's like getting hints at what you should look for to get the biggest refund. On the down side, it takes a long time for someone who is single with no dependents, going through all the pages that weren't applicable to me, such as home ownership questions and things like that. Otherwise, great product, love that you can e-file, avoiding the trip to the post office : ) Now let's just hope I don't get audited like last year. (fingers crossed)

Better than CPA

Excellent step-by-step guide. It is better than going to CPA as collecting data is automated.. reduces typos/errors.
What's great about it: Easy as 1-2-3

My brother uses TurboTax and suggested I use it for my 2011 return. Loved it! Just finished 2012's. Takes a little more time but you can't beat it compared to the cost of having and accountant or tax prep service do your returns.
What's great about it: step by step instructions and explainations

So Easy

Love this program- so easy to walk through and I have had mutual funds, Schedule K, 1099 and student loan interest, in addition to all the self-employment deductions etc. Thanks!
