CONSTANTLY CHANGING COMPUTERS SO ALWAYS ENTERING DATA AGAIN... BUT WILL ALWAYS CONTINUE TO USE TURBO TAX
What's great about it: EASY, EFFICIENT AND FAST
What's not so great: DOESNT ADVERTISE ONLINE OPTIONS ENOUGH

The state form questionaire asked for AGI to the state of IL for 2011, leading you to believe that would be enough information. The return was rejected, and more information (drivers license, state PIN, etc) were required. This should have been part of the original questionaire.
What's great about it: The Federal e-filing was easy and seamless
What's not so great: State e-filing had a cost, but much poorer than federal

A TURBOTAX REPRESENTATIVE NAMED WEDENSDAY, WAS THE MOST KNOWLEDGEABLE AND HELPFUL PERSON I EVER HAD THE PLEASURE OF SPEAKING TO.MY QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS WERE EASILY ANSWERED IN LANGUAGE I COULD UNDERSTAND AND SHE EVEN GAVE ME SOME HELPFUL HINTS AND SITES TO VISIT TO CHECK FOR MORE INFORMATION. I THINK YOU SHOULD BE PROUD TO HAVE SOMEONE LIKE HER HELPING PEOPLE LIKE ME ON YOUR BEHALF!

Always a Challenge

For the enormity of the task - handling every tax situation - it is amazing that TurboTax functions at all! Congratulations on a well-built program that has not "crashed" in many years.

On the other hand...
TurboTax is designed to escort the user through the tediousness of IRs regulations. The long and winding road that leads to the final e-filing is filled with mind-boggling questions, the vast majority of which are completely unrelated to the user's situation;
Why not look at last year's return and tailor this year's questions to match? It would be easy enough to ask "has anything changed?"

By the way, you said my nickname was already in use, but you gave me no way to edit it except to go back and rekey EVERYTHING! Obviously these are not the same programmers who wrote TurboTax!

Turbo Tax does it again

TurboTax makes doing your taxes easy. You can let them walk you through each section or you can mix and match which sections you want to do. They seamlessly pull in your information from the previous year. I absolutely love the comparison feature. It is an good spot check to make sure that things are in the right ball park.
What's great about it: Easy, Simple and Helpful
What's not so great: Only get one state for free

I've used Turbotax for years and I've never had any problems even when my tax situations have changed. I trust the program! that is the big thing, it's the trust
What's great about it: line by line information
What's not so great: none
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Rocked My refund more than once!

This was my first time using this turbo tax and it walked me through the whole hting. I felt very good and confident knowing that this entity, "turbo tax" is taking care of my government taxes. Thank you.
What's great about it: walked me through every detail
What's not so great: there really werent any cons!
