good tax program

when I entered the charitable deductions, I used it's deductible. Since I selected to download the it's deductible information first, I could not get back to the area to enter a vehicle donation. I had to delete the it's deductible info and start over to enter the vehicle, then re download the it's deductible data. What is up with that? If there was another way to do it, it was not "obvious". A time waster.
also, I entered all the required data about the vehicle donation, but not all of it got entered on the "forms" and I had to reenter the data directly on the forms.
Other wise still a great program for tax filing and saving the forms electronically
oh, why does the printing of any of the forms include the tax vouchers for the next year? I do not need those...paper wasting to print.

Great Way to File!

Good product - makes tax filing easy. Recommend including multiple state tax filings for free, along with federal filing.
What's great about it: Good guidance and error checking
What's not so great: Would be nice if state filing was included.

Great Program

I have been using Turbotax for at least 10 years and would not consider anything else. It installs easily. You can back up your work at anytime during preparation. The question-answer process is ideal for people not trained in tax preparation. Printing the forms is easy. This year, it is possible to save your complete return as a PDF file.
I will continue to use TurboTax as long as it continues to be available.

Easy, but hidden fees

Every year I think I'm paying for the right thing and still get surprised with hidden fees. I wish there was a way to know, up front, what the total would be. Probably my fault for not looking close enough at the cover, which says "plus Federal E-File".
Oh well, easier to pay than figure out how to do it a different way.
Last year, I got stuck paying separately for filing state.

What's great about it: Super easy to use and FAST!
What's not so great: HIdden fees, like state efile, that I thought I'd paid extra for when I bought the software.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy to use TurboTax

Very very easy to use. It's a no brainer. Very accurate. I've used TurboTax multiple times now and have yet to be audited. I highly recommend it. Anybody can file their own taxes with TurboTax.

TurboTax is a good product that I've used for many years and will continue to use.
It would be improved by allowing the user to print individual pages to work on and by being more specific about which page is being "fixed" in the error check. The latter problem primarily relates to schedules supporting schedule D where similar tranches of securities have been sold/bought on similar dates.
What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: Unable to print individual pages.

TURBO TAX DELUX 2012

I have done my husband & my taxes using TURBO for eons; also my mother and her sister who live in North Carolina for the last 8 years (thus the reason for needing a State Return). I have never been confused or at a loss except with the FMV of my business leased auto). I don't think I ever put that on the Schedule C - Auto Form before.
What's great about it: As usual A POSITIVE EXPERIENCE
What's not so great: I truly have nothing negative
