it really helped increase our refund

its my first filing...so there was an error between the pin # and the final verification of my wife's id...that was a real disappointment.
What's great about it: the divisions explained the needed info
What's not so great: due to one error I was unable to e-file

Fast and Easy

Turbo Tax found me more money than I would have doing it by hand.
What's great about it: Filled out the proper forms with amount on the proper lines
What's not so great: there wasn't anything I didn't like.

Overall, my experience with Turbo Tax has been very good. I have used it for a number of years. This year Error 131 when trying to save returns was a continuing problem.
What's great about it: Easy to use. Good flow of information input forms
What's not so great: Persistent error when saving the return. Error 131

Very easy to use Turbo Tax and just answer questions. Small business but hopefully will grow and need to use business Turbo Tax.

Turbo Tax Deluxe and Turbo Tax Advantage

Products like Quicken for Mac (advertised at half price) can't be accessed directly from Tax Advantage if you are a current member using only Turbo Tax Deluxe.
Information on electronic filing is not consistent. IRS wanted us to use 2011 ID number. Your information seemed to indicate that we had get a new submission number for 2012.

What's great about it: Turbo Tax Deluxe is thorough. Audit protection is good deal.
What's not so great: Difficult to manuever to amend specific forms using interview.

Did My Own Taxes!

I would recommend TurboTax to anyone that does not have really complicated taxes. The only place I ran into trouble was my daughter's education credits and deductions. Some things were confusing and not explained clearly, but the questions other people were asking helped me figure it out.
What's great about it: Following each step by step made it so easy
What's not so great: Some terminology made me question what it meant
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments
