I have used this program for many years , but this year was by far my worst experience. Several places had me read some publications. If I wanted to read all that I wouldn't need Turbo. I buy the program because it had reseached the publications and used to be able to distinguish if anything was apprapo to you. Not any more. If the program checks for accuracy why do you have to go back when you get to the final filing. Not good experience this year!
What's great about it: cheaper than tax guy & have better access of info @ home
What's not so great: Several places were double talking.

I have used Turbo Tax for years. It has always proven to be reliable and accurate. There are other, cheaper programs out there, but I trust Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Ease of filling out forms
What's not so great: Schedule F form was harder to find, but I did find it.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Like 2nd hand, getting very familiar with TT

Even though it takes me longer because I let Turbo Tax question me, I use that first then go to the forms view.
When done that way I feel safer.
I still wish the state was included in the cost for electronic filling.
I like the Save as a pdf file because I don't like printing books.
What's great about it: Does the math, right click & see where this source comes from.
What's not so great: Have to put a lot more info into TT then if I did it by hand.

Turbo Tax is the only way to go for filing my taxes :) Its very straight forward and easy to use and is much less expensive than taking them to someone else.
What's great about it: Easy to use, Very straightforward, Affordable
What's not so great: No problems
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

This is the easiest tax program to date. I recommend it to everyone.
What's great about it: Simplicity, ease of use, NO PAPERWORK.
What's not so great: Had 1 form that I had to delete and that was simple to do.

I ad some difficulty transferring info from a trust K-1 form on foreign income and taxes.
What's great about it: Step by step approach helpful
What's not so great: Difficulty wit terms on some of the foreign tax questions

many years with turbo tax

have used turbo tax for many years, when i updates my MS operating system i lost all the data to my older turbo tax files. The icons were there but the returns were lost. All my stock and bond info detail lost.
However still like turbo tax hope this year forward doesn't get lost.
What's great about it: easy guide
What's not so great: hard to get back to waht i wanted to review

Great product to do your taxes. I finished in less than a day from start to finish. The information transferred from previous returns saves a ton of time, and the retrieval of data from financial institutions saves you time also. TurboTax gives you confidence that you have done your taxes correctly and have not missed any extra deductions.
What's great about it: Easy, intuitive, provides confidence that you did not miss anything
