Saved My Sanity

The directions are easy to follow. I've never been great with numbers, so really like the idea that the totals are figured for me. We will no doubt use your program again next year. Thank you.
What's great about it: I liked that I could go back if I learned that I had missed info that had to be on the return.
What's not so great: Initially my computer did not want to accept the program. Had to work on that for a while.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

was very quick..finished in less then an hour. Easy to do if you have all your paperwork handy.
What's great about it: so easy to do
What's not so great: Didn't like the online free...harder to follow.

Too Many Glitches in Turbo Tax 2012

I've used Turbo Tax the past 6 years and usually enjoy the ease of use. However this year they made a few changes, which as a whole are good as it clears up allowable deductions. However, when it asks for medical expenses paid with retirement pension in the "Income" section, if you forget and don't add in the amount in here, you can't add it later...anywhere unless you override it in forms and then if you override it, you can't file electronically because it'll give you an error due to the over-ride. There needs to be a place where someone can go back in the step-by-step to revise the amount. Very frustrating the way it is now!!
What's great about it: Transfer of Prior year information, ease of use on some things
What's not so great: Medical Expense paid with retiree pension

I have been a Turbo Tax user for a number of years aand Believe for me it is the very best solution. I am an accountant by trade and understand taxation generally. Tiurbo Tax handles all very well.
What's great about it: very straight forward and efficient

HAVE USED TURBO TAX FOR MANY YEARS. IT ASKS ALL THE QUESTIONS AND LETS ME DECIDE IF THEY ARE APPLICABLE. HOWEVER, MY ONLY GRIPE IS ASKING FOR, WHAT I CONSIDER, UNNECESSARY INFORMATION. FOR EXAMPLE, NAME AND ADDRESS OF ORGANIZATIONS I MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS TO, HOW MUCH OF MY 1099-R DISTRIBUTIONS INCLUDE RMD AMOUNTS, ETC. OTHER TAX SOFTWARE AND MANUAL RETURNS DON'T REQUIRE THIS.
What's great about it: EASY TO USE ASKS ALL THE QUESTIONS
What's not so great: UNNECESSARY INFO REQUEST

I have used Turbo Tax for several years not and it gives me confidence that it is done right and I get the refund I should get.
