What's great about it: QUICK AND EASY
What's not so great: CANT PRINT A CHECK

Accurate return and analysis of federal forms.

This is the third year I have used Turbotax and found it very accurate, even when filing difficult returns. The TurboTax Community to send question to is also extremely helpful to help understand some of the complexities of filing a federal tax return. I recommend turbotax to anyone tired of having an accountant charge them to file in the hopes they have reviewed all options for a refund.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: I owed money ;(

2012 Taxes a very simple process

Good product. It lacks however a currency converter chart that the IRS uses to convert foreign currency for the year. For example, if you receive a pension in euros, where to put it down and how much is the Euro worth.
What's great about it: If you know how to read you can do your own taxes.
What's not so great: What if one receives a widow's pension from abroad? There is not where to put it and their is no currency converter!

Great Job on Complex Situation

I've had to change my life drastically after going from a 60+ hour/week Physician Assistant in Urgent Care to totally disabled due to heart & lung problems; from a salary or $72,000/year to living on Social Security Disability payments. TurboTax helped me make the filing EASY; the tax changes understandable, and helped my get a great federal refund. I still owed taxes to the state but the amount was half of what I had to pay the year before. I've used TurboTax for nearly 20 years, and am sold!
What's great about it: Made my changes in filing easy to understand
What's not so great: Still had to pay state taxes! But 1/2 the amount of last year!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

If you have even half a brain and can read , why pay a professional for something you can easily do yourself. You have full control over what you are telling the government. No middle - man to possibly cause you grief !!!
What's great about it: Walks you through everything , double checks for accuracy

The unclear question asks did I pay any other taxes out of State. I did and almost entered..HOWEVER it was property tax paid in the other state. I entered this in the section on property tax.It did not belong here..could have resulted in an error.
The question should be clear, and state property taxes do not belong in this section but are entered elsewhere.
