I love that I can do my taxes both Federal & State at one time and it doesn't take me but about an hour. This is so much easier than filling out paperwork by hand and does away with the mailing and refund checks. So convenient.
What's great about it: Very easy and quick to use
What's not so great: some problems with printing

First time with Turbo Tax. Probably not the last.

I started using H&R Block's online Deluxe program this tax season but the 1099-MISC section did not pass the sniff test. It said that I owed more than I knew I should have. I tried Turbo Tax and it was more in line with what my expectations were. Turns out that H&R Block was steering me down a tax trail that was irrelevant to my situation and could have cost me hundreds of dollars.
What's great about it: 1099-MISC for independent contractors was much easier than with H&R Block
What's not so great: Fixing errors with state taxes was complicated; a box or line that was missing info was named but no context given

Step by Step Simplicity

I have used Turbo Tax for several years now and am extremely pleased with the ease of filing my taxes. It asks you all the right questions and as long as you have all your paperwork in order it should not take you any more then an hour to complete.

I found this year's TurboTax even easier to use than last year's. Info from "It's Deductible" transferred well and was a great time saver! The flow of filling in information in each section went well. It was easy to go back to change (edit) things.
The one thing I would like to see available is the ability to print the pages that condense info after finishing each section.

Easy as the Govt can make it by doing the research

If I did not have to wait for back-up from various inities, I could do this on the 1st of January using Quicken and Turbo Tax all year.
What's great about it: Q & A approach works to start then make corrections or additions using the do it yourself approach

Excellent software....been using it for 20 years? Brick and mortar rob people of their hard earned money...TT gets it done for a huge amount less in both money and time.
What's great about it: Everything you need for tax success!
What's not so great: Needs a sexy voice to talk you through the program!
