Made torture almost acceptable

Been using Turbo for several years. Gets better each time. Tried the other guy and wont go back.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Had difficulty applying state tax increase to Fed after completing the state forms
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great Program

I really enjoyed Turbo Tax. I always do my own taxes so that if there is a mistake i have only myself to blame and some times with other programs i have used, it gets a little frustrating when they make questions too hard or too in depth. It is also frustrating when other programs will log out after a certain time if you do your taxes on line. With Turbo Tax, it was smooth and fast and although this is my frist year filing under a different status, it was simple and easy to do especially with the on line support. Thanks Turbo Tax, it was simple and easy and i got a great return this year!!
What's great about it: Always has the most recent updates
What's not so great: Doesnt start you off where you left off when you reopen program

It's a keeper

Somehow the program continues to look an act new while feeling comfortable at the same time. I like the two options of being led step by step and just going from form to form. I think you could make a case for having a third format where each of the forms becomes a SmartForm and describes the impact and documentation needs for every line item as you hover over them.
I needed to submit amended returns on prior years and met with mixed results. One year insisted that I had already amended the return so I had to go to the forms method and file by brute force. Still, it was better than doing it by hand and much cheaper than using an accountant.
What's great about it: Consistently good interface
What's not so great: Sometimes did too much for me

I've used Turbo Tax for years and have always found it to be an excellent tool for the do it yourself tax preparer. Much better than working the forms with the IRS instructions.
What's great about it: Extremely easy to use
What's not so great: numerous updates and are all the forms correct when you complete early

TurboTax has made filling a good experience, even in years that I have more complicated. confusing income sources.
What's great about it: Easy to follow explanation and instruction
