For simple returns, you cannot beat TurboTax. As a retired CPA I highly recommend TurboTax.
What's great about it: Very user friendly with reminders throughout
What's not so great: Add on features explanations are deceiving

Quick, easy, efficient

Overall Turbo Tax is an efficient, easy to use tax preparation application. There could be more features in the Deluxe edition, but the premiere iffers those few extras but the cost is a bit higher.
What's great about it: Simple to use; anyone can understand.

2012 taxes

I have used Turbo Tax for a number of years and have been statisfied. Too bad I have to pay for e-file for the state--should be included in purchase price.
What's great about it: guided throught process
What's not so great: sometimes a challenge to find worksheets and forms.

I knew what screens I needed to get to enter all the data I needed to for schedule H, but I had to answer the questions multiple times before I was shown the correct screens to allow me to enter all my data. Almost called. It should not be that tough to be shown the right screens. If I would not have known what the final Schedule H should look like, I would have missed including data that was needed. Maybe a bug in a late update that you added in mid-March???
What's great about it: good prompting questions, got me where I needed to be
What's not so great: Weak linkage to nanny tax section.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
