VT Forms not well integrated

The federal section worked well, without the bugs and crashes of the 2011 edition.
However, the Vermont forms were not well integrated or explained, so I will have to have an accountant go over them. By my calculations I was over-withheld for 2012 and got a large federal refund, but Vermont shows almost no refund, and the taxes paid to other states did not show up correctly... no explanations or online help. I suspect they were incorrectly calculated.
What's great about it: Quick! No longer crashing like 2011 program.
What's not so great: VT Forms not well integrated

I'm running Norton on my computer and when I tried to pay my fees and e-file, it wouldn't work. Turbo Tax was of little help in resolving this issue. Had to mess around in Norton to exclude the Turbo Tax folder from the security scan. Then everything worked fine. Turbo Tax should provide more insight in their program on how to resolve the issue since one has to wait an eternity on the phone to talk to someone.

i have been using turbo tax from the first time it was sold this is the best and easy way to do yor taxes why pay someone to do them for you when they have a product like this.very good and easy thanks turbo tax.

For the most part user friendly

I had trouble printing from the print opetion on left top of program. Had to go to your web site to find out about the Print Center icon on the upper right. Also, I was not able to access the chat line. Don't know why. Fortunately I was able to finally find the answer I needed.
What's great about it: The program does the work for you after you enter your information.
What's not so great: No explanation of what's new, for instance the new way to print copies.

Tax Relief

This is my third year of using Turbo Tax.This was the first year that I had a problem and it was with the state tax .The program for the state kept looping but after restarting my computer it worked.
What's great about it: Very easy to use
What's not so great: Had to restart computer for state tax to run

Wonderful as usual

I have never hated filing tax returns even in the "old days" before electronic filing appeared. However, now I cannot even imagine doing my tax returns without TurboTax. Not only is it as easy to use as ever, but it continues to improve the filters that lead to filing with a feeling of assurance that it's done correctly. I especially like the "Flags" drop-down box where I can find solutions to problems that I do not understand. On this year's return that feature helped me to solve relatively quickly a problem that brought me to dead end several times..
What's great about it: No need to mess with paper forms; easy to enter all information
What's not so great: Minor glitch with entering information from 1099-DIV soleved by leaving boxes boxes blank rather then entering a zero i
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Not Happy with the State Setup

Overall, very happy with Turbo Tax. However, I am furious that Turbo Tax suggested I buy a state that I did not need. Now I am out the money for nothing.
What's great about it: Federal Taxes were great and easy to understand
What's not so great: I got tricked into buying a state I did not need
