Piece of cake!

Turbo Tax is a wonderful piece of cake...I mean software. All I have to do is get my tax paperwork organized and sorted then Turbo Tax basically does the rest. All I do is insert number when "it" asks for it. I'll never use a CPA or Tax preparer because TT does it all for me. Thanks for the great software that keeps getting easier to use every year with all the great updates and newer versions!

Getting better

I have used TurboTax for 20 years. In the early years it always took a phone call to get the program to run correctly. I have never used more than the Deluxe. My most complex returns included a salary employment, a small farm and a consulting business, and stock sales in the same year. Deluxe handled all well. I must say that it handled them well because before using Turbo Tax I did my taxes manually, so I knew when the program was correct.
I find the current program getting to protective, almost asking you to trust them to fill the correct amounts and the right forms. In most cases it does it well, but if you are doing complicated returns a higher version of the program maybe useful.
What's great about it: Easier
What's not so great: Getting to easy

This is the most simplest and accurate tax program I have ever used. It's Intuitive and easy to navigate. I like the fact that you can stop and continue with the process anytime. TurboTax remembers exactly where you left off and allows you to continue from there. The Audit check and feedback quickly puts at ease any apprehension about being audited due to simple mistakes. Best of all - the program checks for updates and downloads all the necessary forms. Hats off to the programmers - a job well done! What use to take me a week to do now only takes a few hours.
What's great about it: Best step by step guiding I ever experienced
What's not so great: None - Program is solid and intuitive to use.

OMG Refund

I have a pretty basic tax situation, I'm a college student and a dependent for my parents. However, I worked out of state and had city tax withheld, I thought that was going to be an issue but it wasn't, I was so surprised and happy.....my Dad had me go though it with some help from him....I actually learned a lot by doing it myself....I actually found it fun but then I'm getting a refund.....
What's great about it: It was easy to do just step by step turbo tax walked me through.
What's not so great: sometimes it seemed to ask me questions that really didn't pertain to my situation.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo Tax Consistency -- just like the batteries,

I always use the interview technique, though after over 25 years of using TT I probably could go it alone. The questions are intuitive and well-explained when necessary. The ability to toggle between the interview and the tax forms is most appreciated, and easy to do. The updated refund/owe status is helpful, and can make a difference in what info is input especially if you want to see it instantly in a "what if" scenario. I am glad that the efile is included in the cost, and hope someday the state would be included for no charge as well -- in fact, how about a free state efile for loyal customers?! Keep uo the great work!!

A good product that improves each year

I've used Turbotax for a number of years. This year's product seemed a little better, with better easier-to-understand text and user instructions in most sections. There are not any really glaring defects to complain about. I have a concern about the number of updates in February and March, but the late season updates have only affected me once, fortunately, over these last several years. I understand that some updates are caused by upstream delays at the legislative branch and executive branch levels of government.
What's great about it: Product has a simliar look and feel year-to-year
What's not so great: Some concerns about the number of updates required
