I started using Turbo Tax three years ago and every year I love it more and more! I'm anxious about a lot of things and filing my own taxes is enough to send me over the edge. I just wasn't sure I could pull this off. But I researched it (yea I'm one of those people) and thought it looked like something even I could do. If you can read, you can do Turbo Tax. The steps are made so simple to understand, I can't even believe it. Just find the number on the forms in front of you and put that amount in, easy!! I really felt even more secure as I moved through each step of the process. Turbo Tax is great in that it gives you feedback with every step, so you know you're going in the right direction. I'm a stickler for organization and so let me tell you how Turbo Tax helps me beyond measure. I now know what docs I need to organize and keep throughout the year, to bring with me when I sit down with my new Turbo Tax software to prepare to file my taxes. That's just amazing. Until TT, I thought no one can possibly do their own taxes without having an accountant do all the work. I feel like a pro accountant in my own home at my own desk! And do I feel like I got the maximum refund? Well heck yea...I do!! If you got all your ducks, TT has all the places to put those ducks in a row! You guys have really put together a fantastic product. I suggest you put some education software together for K thru graduate school. Like for real!! If anyone is reading this review and you're skeptical about filing your own taxes using Turbo Tax, take my word for it, you can do it with this product. Just get all your forms, receipts, any and all your papers together and Turbo Tax will tell you when and where to put it, to accurately file your income tax return. Suddenly that pile of papers you stacked up over the year, will be organized right before your eyes, just by following the steps of Turbo Tax. Purchase it, you will get your money's worth...every dime!
What's great about it: So easy and super user-friendly
What's not so great: Not much really, other than the little delay this year.

I thought the wording was some times confusing. I wasn't able to e-file my state even when I purchase the deluxe. Did it state I could save my work and go back to it later? I didn't know if I exited I would loose everything I had already done, so I left my computer on until I finished.
What's great about it: I was able to e-file my federal
What's not so great: I'm upset that I wasn't able to e-file my state. Now I will have to figure how to do it on my own? Save & come back?
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I love using Turbo Tax...its easy and fast. I start my return in November so I know where I stand and then change to the final numbers when documents arrive

What's not so great: None
Pros: I moved, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Rocks My Refunds, Year After Year

I've used Turbo Tax for probably a decade now, through a variety of life-changing scenarios, and it never fails to be simple, straight-forward, and thorough at gathering all of my data and making sure I get the most back that I can. I have 100% confidence in my returns every year and have never had a problem with the IRS. It generally takes me about 30 minutes to do my taxes and maybe another 10 to actually file electronically. Have my refunds in about 2 weeks. What did people do before Turbo Tax?! Why would anyone go anywhere else???
What's great about it: So easy my dog could do it. Gets deductions that I would certainly miss on my own.
What's not so great: Absolutely none. Couldn't be easier or more thorough.

Over all the system is great, my fed return was filed and accepted by the IRS. When I tried to get my CA state return efiled, I could not log into my account to finish the purchase. It said my pw was invalid but could not help me resolve this problem. It's too bad about this blight in my experience with Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: system is user friendly, easy to undersand
What's not so great: only complaint is I could not log into my account to file state returns.,
