Very easy to use!

Great tax software for completing Federal and CA state tax returns. Federal E-file is a piece of cake (I didn't use CA state E-file, but I assume that it is just as easy.
What's great about it: Very thorough, asked me everything in information gathering phase.
What's not so great: Had to change form to make a correction, not easy to make a correction using interview mode.

SO easy---saved hours

So easy, I saved hours compared to what it used to take me to self prepare my returns through he years.
What's great about it: The ease and simplicity it took to prepare my return.
What's not so great: I think their are too many offers of extras.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

TurboTax Rocks!

I've been using Turbo Tax for several years and it is always fast and easy. I also like that it imports data from the previous year to reduce the amount of data that must be entered and that it can electronically retrieve W-2s.
What's great about it: Easy to use, accurate, easy filing
What's not so great: None that I can think of

Minimized tax pain...and payment

I love the process TurboTax uses to advise me on whether I should take the itemized deduction or the standard deduction. This year, it was the itemized deduction -- and I was prepared from having read the notes in previous years of using TurboTax, stating -- if you keep your receipts, it can work in your favor. It certainly made a huge difference this year in reducing my tax burden as a first-time, self-employed person. Thanks, TurboTax!
What's great about it: Step by step walk throughs, "Learn More", ease of use
What's not so great: what's not to like? TurboTax is tops
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Second Year of Turbo

Okay, except when you get one Misc 1099 with 2 entries on it, you have to create 2 separate entries to enter info into Turbo tax, Found this confusing, but eventually figured it out.
What's great about it: Like how it uploads info from last year
What's not so great: Misc 1099 info hard to enter

Very easy!

This is the third year that I used Turbo Tax and I love it.......what a great tax program. Highly recommended for everyone who likes doing taxes by themselves and enjoys the challenges of such.
What's great about it: Very good step by step instructions with good explanations of each step and item.
What's not so great: None
