The Gold Standard for Tax Prep

Great ease of use and a very intuitive interface!
What's great about it: Very easy to use
What's not so great: Have to keep track of mulitple forms
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

2012 Tax program

I removed one of my children as a dependent and the associated school credits from the personal section, however in the SC state tax program it kept the educational deductions, thus I would have received $805 MORE than I was eligible for. The tax check part missed this. Otherwise the program was good.
What's great about it: Easy to use and change fields
What's not so great: Missed removing a deduction on State

Cannot change non cash donations unless all data reentered, a real pain when the only thing you want to change is the date.
What's great about it: Easy to use for the most part.
What's not so great: Hard to change some data intered in error
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments

De-stressed what could be a stressful situation.

Turbo Tax really opened our eyes to additional expenses that can be claimed as credits. A great example of this is the cost of eyeglasses, contacts, and medical expenses. We didn't know if we spent a certain percentage of our income, it can be entered. It is very user friendly. We better understand the terms that are used on our tax forms as well as know where the figures come from.
I love that I can do my family's taxes and feel very secure in the numbers I send to the IRS.

I've used Turbo Tax for quite a few years and find the improvements that are made each year to be great. I've recommended this product to others. Continue the great work.

What's not so great: Not enough explanation for some complicated issues
