Easy to use

What's great about it: simple to follow prompts, can easily play what if's. Also has a great help function
What's not so great: I would like to print some of the pages as I go along in th efuture

The Usual Easy Way

TurboTax is extremely straightforward. Just read the questions and input the answers. It has great background information too, so you know why you are doing something and how to do it. Very simple!
What's great about it: Extremely easy to use. TurboTax leads you by the hand all the way. Its hard to miss anything or get lost.
What's not so great: I donate to lots of charities. It would be helpful if I could put them in alphabetical order, for ease of location.

Good tax software

For the Interest and Dividends that were transferred from the Federal Return to the MS State Return, the Payor's information and some of the Payee's information for the various entries did not carry over to the MS Return. During the review of the return, it kept asking me to fill ing the missing line items. However it did not show you enough information to know exactly which Interest or Dividend line item you were dealing with.
What's great about it: Helps walk you through filling out your taxes.
What's not so great: Had problem identifying and entering info on MS Return

TurboTax Expert Advice is Superb!

I was surprised, if not shocked, to find that a CPA/Enrolled Agent answered my request for help with my very complex tax problem. I had not expected someone so qualified. Until this year my taxes have been so simple I've used a Form 1040A. This year I had to use a 1040 because I missed the deadline for taking my first ever IRA Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) for the PRIOR year. I was lost. The CPA/Enrolled agent was knowledgeable, eager to help, and patient. This advice saved me a lot of money. I'm very thankful that I use TurboTax.
What's great about it: Tax questions answered by a CPA/Enrolled Agent; questions about using forms and computer answered by skilled technicians
What's not so great: Long hold times for help

2012 Turbo Tax Review

Really like Turbo Tax. I can take my time, work a little at a time, think about what I've done, and still file electronically. Can't do that with a human 1 hour appointment.
What's great about it: Easy--straightforward
What's not so great: Difficulty figuring out where to put Misc 1099 form--not enough information
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
