Easy, Quick and Painless

I have used TurboTax for years and have never had a problem completing the dreaded task. The program leads you by the hand step by step through the whole process. I used to go to a tax professional and had to fill out the booklet he gave me with all of my info to bring along to my appointment. When I got to the appointment he would basically enter my info into a tax preparation program on his computer. Now when I"m gathering my info I just enter it in TurboTax instead of the booklet and get the same result. Fast, easy and cheaper to boot! What"s not to like about TurboTax!

Very good overall. I would like a pop up link at each category with a question, such as, "Click here for charitable "when is mileage for mission trip not deductible."

Haven't had any trouble navigating between forms and questions/interview - each year gets easier to do;
What's great about it: Follow-up requests to confirm certain items to avoid mistakes
What's not so great: Inserting Schedule K-1 info - not your fault, but no fun
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I've used TurboTax for many years now, and I've gone through somewhat complex and very easy years. I'm interested in paying my fair share of taxes, and I continue to be surprised that my liability is so small. So, TurboTax helps me sense that I am complying with the law and still offering my appropriate share to help make our nation function.
What's great about it: Specific instructions helped my assurance I've been accurate
What's not so great: None! important for a tax novice like me!

Another con was having to go through a separate system for my state (OR) to efile. Having this built into the system would be nice. I realize that it's difficult to account for different states and institutions but continuing to work on this would be a bonus.
Overall, the process provided by your software was easy and intuitive. Also the ability to look over the raw tax forms with the click of a button was very nice.
What's great about it: Automated import from some financial institutions and W-2; Ability to easily view raw tax forms
What's not so great: Did not handle Nondividend Distributions (ROC) very well.
