Excellent way to do taxes

Turbo Tax makes it about as easy as it gets. Due to the continuing added complexity of the tax code, there are still grey areas where the user needs to know what he is doing.
What's great about it: interview process
What's not so great: still requires some knowledge of taxes

I love this product. It is easy to use and gets the job done quickly even if you are not an experienced tax filler. Would like to see you add free filling for State Returns to next years edition.

Great for a tax return for dummies guy!

Overal I give this software 5 stars. I have had someone do my taxes for the last 27 years so I was nervous. Being a minister you havecertain things you can and cannot do. Turbo Tax made it simple. I even purchased the Audit Support because I ma confident in this product.
What's great about it: easy to follow, helpful tips
What's not so great: couldn't see all the exemptions for ministers

user friendly

I have been using turbo Tax for over ten years, would not use any other tax program, this one is very user friendly and walks you through each step i feel very safe with this program and recommend it to anyone that wants to understand their tax's with ease and confendance.
What's great about it: very detailed
What's not so great: can't think of a thing...

Wouldn't do taxes without it

The step by step guidance is very reassuring. I'm always afraid I'm going to skip something but TurboTax keeps you from doing that. The ability to flag a section is also helpful so I can go back when I have amounts to gather.

Poorly done program

I am unlikely to buy turbotax in the Future. The first time, I could have filed electronically, after the first update it had over fifty "errors".
I no longer own a copy of Quicken, due to the massive bloat that has been programmed into that formerly good program.
This was dissapointing, after years of doing a good job, to be let down so badly by this program.
What's great about it: I have used turbotax since its inception.
What's not so great: error review did not work, had to file on paper. Not happy with the outcome.

The program has always been more user friendly than some of the others I have used. I have PDF copies of my returns that I can access when I need them. Updates seem to be timely and accurate.
What's great about it: import prior year data, user friendly questions, carryover data flows smoothly
What's not so great: state returns don't seem to be as detailed with instructions - maybe include a link to state sites for detail inst
