Fast and Easy

Because I used Turbo Tax last year, I transfered personal information automatically and I just checked to make sure it was all current. It also showed what I claimed last year so I could easily see if I had forgotten anything. It also asked questions that helped remind me of things to consider for the next tax year for instance buying energy saving items. I was also able to stop and save information when I was interrupted by the door or phone calls. Turbo Tax is the way to go.
What's great about it: Shortened time by using last years information.
What's not so great: I had to manually add up all my medical bills.

This is a great program that's easy to use. I'm not a techy person and had no problem. Really like the prepopulating aspect from the prior year's return. That way you only make changes when necessary. Simple questions with the opportunity to get more info helps you provide the right answers in tayloring the return to your specific needs. By thoroughly reviewing all possible deductions, you end up minimizing taxes or maximizing your refund. Really like the recommendations on how to reduce taxes (such as consider making an IRA contribution) and the easy review process before actually filing. Thanks TurboTax!
What's great about it: Easy to use program that covers all aspects of tax filing for correct filing and maximum refund.
What's not so great: Hard to find where you left off when leaving and returning to tax returns.

Great tool to use!

Fascinating that we did it all in my laptop. Was pretty efficient and quick. We were also very happy that TurboTax is 100% guaranteed so I am taking their word for it! If everything goes right will definitely use it again next year!
What's great about it: Easy and convenience
What's not so great: bit confusing at the beginning
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Now, I'm a Turbotax professional

Since I've been out of work, I've had more time on my hand. I have been reading and using the Turbotax help tools and have learned more than enough to save my family some money, by assisting them with their taxes.
What's great about it: Easy to follow and access to a lot of assistance when needed.
What's not so great: I didn't know to use TurboTax sooner.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Money in the Bank

The software is much easier than working online which I've done in the past. Filing taxes could not be easier. I got more of a refund than I expected because the program is so thorough. I really like that there is a calculator at the top of the screen that gives a real-time and accurate expected return. I love the feature of being able to have the refund direct-deposited into my bank account. Last year I had my refund within a week! This year will probably be the same. I've been a Turbo Tax user all of my tax-paying adult life and I plan to keep my streak alive! Thank you Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: Easy step by step process, picks up right where I left off, expected refund showed at the top of the screen in real time
What's not so great: None

Quick & Easy

I am an independent contractor and have quite a few deductions. We have also twice adopted children with special needs. TurboTax has helped me find all of the appropriate deductions and credits quickly and easily -- just walking through the interview and entering my information. I have been using TurboTax for several years and will continue to use it. Paying taxes is often a pain, but at least calculating your return doesn't have to be a painful experience.
What's great about it: Everything clear and simple
What's not so great: None
